Who/what label released it? Is it available anywhere? Have you made/released more material?

I quickly found the tape rip but quick google search brought nothing about your project.

Same here. Seems like the whole thing never actually existed..... i play the tape rip non-stop these days.

Great creepy P.E. : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kP3QU5FxDNA

So:

This was born as a semi-prank. It is not from the 80s, but from some time around 98. It was recorded on an old 1980s tape I recycled, though, and I think the tape itself contributed a lot to the sound, which has a very soft type of saturation that objectively sounds very nice. It was me trying to play improvised material, iirc it is mostly analogue monosynth, lxp5 delay, boss bass flanger, and am radio. And my own shitty vocals.

The original master tape is with a dude called Rich Stanton from Buffalo, who used to run a label called House of Corprolith and with whom I lost touch 15 years ago. I don't have a copy myself.

My main project was called Cazzodio which, part of the irony of life, seems to have much shorter lasting power than this little tape I made over two afternoons to prank rec.music.industrial and alt.noise tape collectors.

Prank or not, really enjoyable stuff. Sad that the master tape is now _somewhere_, it would be nice if there could be a proper tape release of this.

ahaha
Amazing!
There have been people asking me a lot about this for ages and made many "experts" turn crazy ahah "You are from Italy, you should know these!"

thanks for solving the mystery, definitely a classic that would deserve a proper release!

didn't know it was you eheh!
by the way really enjoyed your track on Solco Chiuso's CD, definitely the highlight of the whole work.

Another Italian project I absolutely love is Deison.

From experimental to ambient to noise.

these are the most ambient works, he did some amazing harder stuff....
I remember his classic Urban Noise.
Wanted to release a tape of him just before my old tape label Soffitta Macabra closed...

Marco: thanks...as for Solco Chiuso, I am glad to know someone likes my forays into West Coast synthesis; as I grow older I am tempted more and more to start making "modular music" and leave noise behind. (Then I start playing with the Tremerario that Gabriele built for me, and I forget about the whole modular thing).

Alex: the whole album has three tracks, which iirc are in an easy-to-find rip. Anyway I have the rip and I can send it to you if you have trouble finding the whole thing yourself.

BTW, I think that the rip one can find online comes from Jonathan Canady who, iirc, had suspected it was me a long time ago, and, I guess, got a first generation copy from Rich Stanton himself. I agree it would be nice to track down the original master tho. (I'd be happy to reconnect with Rich in any case). A quick google search yields a trace of the original rec.music.industrial post : https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/rec.music.industrial/mu3npSuv_2M

I remember when (it was 11 years ago when I started to work with my "Encyclopaedia..") I asked to Maurizio Bianchi about meaning word of CAZZODIO. His response was invaluable :) Anyway CAZZODIO is very good project. Weren't you with concert in Poland years ago?

I am using modular as well, yet for doing sensless noise as usual ehehe
Jonathan was exactly one of thos who got obsessed with this and asked me!

I remember Cazzodio. That was really great stuff.

tiny_tove

one of the very few projects in that period in Italy that did something different that try to copy atrax morgue!!!
