I'm guessing that ordering a batch from europe isn't cheap. Is there a euro distro which stocks the recycled tapes?

Shipping is quite brutal indeed. I've ordrered 2 times small batch for distro, I've got 6 titles available for distro in europe.

A caterpillar that goes around trying to rip the wings off of butterflies is not a more dominant caterpillar, just a caterpillar that is looking for a bigger caterpillar to crush him.  Some caterpillars are mad that they will never grow to be butterflies.

It would be nice to know what is in each recycled tape. I had impression that not all is the band itself, but RRRon playing/mixing some sort of session out of their albums? I could be wrong, but it should be just few old names. Most should be artists submitting material.

Grunt RRRecycled is live in turku 2004 + acoustic noise material from seer of decay disc 2 sessions (but does not appear on the album).

Most (if not all) of the first batch of tapes was Ron playing other peoples records on the Minutoli, similar to the first batch of Pure cds.  There's at least one that I know of that's somebody else pretending to be the band it's listed as. There's quite a few more deleted titles then the ones listed in the threads, and a few that have had the material replaced due to either a damaged master, or by request of the artist.  Also pretty sure there's a few titles that he only made a handful of and sold in the shop and never got listed in any of the catalogs, and at least two "unofficial" releases that where done by other people and made to look like official recycled tapes.  Would be great to see somebody write a history of the series, but I doubt even Ron remembers all of them at this point.........

I have always been under the impression a major conceit of the series is to provide an inexpensive way to tempt listeners into trying new music without the trappings of overt subject matter (no visuals, no titles, no initial associations and expectations). Due to both Discogs and streaming services, a lot of that purpose is moot today. The 'new music' aspect is not lost, though, when the date is listed. For example, I know there are Hymenal Opening and Flagellatio Orgasmus Tapes which are quite new. I would encourage bands that release in the series going forward to post the date issued. That would be an incentive to try it from the encyclopedic selection available and keep the series going. Just a thought.
