I wouldn't have any problems w/ the politics (even if they are expressed in an oaf-ish manner), but I must say, I haven't heard any RAC I actually find in the least bit interesting musically. Unfortunately.

Hakaristi

Mainly enjoy the Finnish stuff. From Mistreat, Sniper and Hate Crime up to more current bands Vapaudenristi, Pylvanainen and Pagan Skull. But Vandal, Honor, Bully Boys and Midtown Bootboys all deserve a mention too.

It may be interesting to be introduced to this music world this nice book edited by feral house.

Indeed, that FH book is mandatory reading for all fans and newcomers to the genre. A heavily detailed history written by those involved.

Lately I've really been digging Legion from Poland: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXLjLvbNiHM Has a very deathrock/post-punk sound to it, much like Honor's "Cena Idei". Other than that, I'd have to echo a lot of what was already mentioned like Vapaudenristi, Pagan Skull, Sniper, Mistreat, Hate Crime, Honor, Skrewdriver, Angry Aryans, I.N.F.A.N.T.R.Y., Blue Eyed Devils, Nordmacht, Stahlgewitter, Division Germania, Nordmacht, Iron Youth, Legion 88, Nouvelle Croisade, and Open Season. The "No Surrender" comps are good (at least volumes 1&2) as well as "Made In Japan (Skinhead Sounds From The Land Of The Rising Sun)". The book in the previous post is good, even if it reads a little dry with all of the pointless details of every release from that period.

Mostly enjoy the 28 bands with a bit more metal influence like Vengeance, Squadron and later Skrewdriver and the early White Noise era stuff from Public Enemy, Brutal Attack, Close Shave, Skullhead, ABH etc especially the recording quality. That feral house book has great descriptions and stories from the key albums of the movement.
Some personal faves:
Skrewdriver - Demo '83
Brutal Attack - Stronger than Before and Demos
No Remorse - This Time The World
Vengeance - Forward into War
Skrewdriver - The Strong Survive
White Diamond - The Reaper (commonly regarded as rubbish, but I like it)
Squadron - Our Time Will Come & Take The Sword

as said, still obsessed with the glory days of oi (cock sparrer, 4 skins, last resort, oppressed, early skrewdriver, criminal class, combat 84, condemned 84 etc.)
today I listen mostly to Japanese SSS bands (that are pratically metal), some French and Italian bands (still into nabat, cani, etc.), many American OI bands (past and present... )

bif fan of Hard Skin, started as a joke band, but delivered some of the best old school tunes ever.
bassist, If I am not wrong, is the brother of one of the author of the Feral House book which, I must admit, bored me after a while... I had great expectations, but it sounds more like name dropping of many people who came and went after a while...

Mistreat, Störkraft, Freikorps, Blue Eyed Devils, Fortress, Open Season, Vapaudenristi, No Remorse, Sniper, Division Germania etc. are highly appreciated bands in our household.

It is very charming also the graphic style of many releases , rude ans "illegal publication" mood.

I love a lot of the classic oi-bands! RAC sub-genre is responsible for some of the worst music i've ever heard.

FreakAnimalFinland

Those type of charming covers only used in old rac. Material these days almost exclusively goes to two categories:
1) horrid Photoshop turd
2) regular Photoshop covers lacking all personality and charm

Unfortunately this ALSO correlates with too large part of music.

Worth noting that Nicky Crane was responsible for a lot of the best art of the 80's including Skrewdriver - Hail the New Dawn and No Remorse - This Time the World to name just two - pretty sure he did most Skrewdriver covers until his Channel 4 appearance.
