Audio service are ok

I can underline that. Quite a good place to produce factory tapes in good quality. Contact to plant and responsible people is good too.
Remember, remember... december.

Are they really independent from GZ?

Well, I haven't contacted them yet, but on the site there are pictures with some vinyl presses with their own Vinyl Plant logos, not GZ. So I would assume - they are? :)

I called them and talked a bit. They have own pressing machine for 12" vinyl only. At this point they didn't have means to make master plates, so this is done by other company. Of course it is a standard behavior. Master/plating done by one company, pressing by other company. They said in future plan is to have everything in-house, to make it even faster.

Thank you for these informations.

I recently learned about Fairview Duplication in the UK. Looked at their website and looks good and prices seem reasonable. Anyone has experience with them?
I'm most probably going to release a pro dubbed tape (as opposed to the home dubbed tapes I've done), so I'm still deciding on which company to go with.

Euro Trash Bazooka

Fairview are ok. Not great but Tapeline is so-so as well. I had both ok and mediocre experiences with both of them. Either they cut a few seconds from the beginning of one side, or the mastering job is absolutely atrocious, or a third of the tape cases I ordered came crushed in the mail,  etc... I've never been 100% satisfied with any of them but when you don't have the choice, you still need to get the job done. The communication with both has always been alright, by the way.

Thanks for the info. Are there other companies you were more satisfied with?

Just checking Audio Service too, but I can't find prices on their website, which seems a bit weird. Also, what's with that GEMA form? Seems like unnecessary when working within extreme underground music (at least, I think most music goes unregistered), but then how can you prove it's unnecessary?

Used Tapeline recently and their speed is very fast but three of the tapes had pretty bad cracks in the plastic shells, no refund. I'm just going to use Brutallica in the future though they are very busy at the moment and aren't taking orders until January. Sometimes their speed isn't great but the quality and prices are very good.

I had my latest tape made by Fairview Duplication and my experience with them was quite positive. The whole process was painless (communicating, sending audio and cover/tape art files, making payment etc.) and the quality of tapes and prints were good, at least the ones I listened. Included in the price was a test cassette. Not probably the cheapest one around but one thing I liked about them was that their prices were simple and well defined (I am sick of duplicators who charge an extra for every single fart they have to make during process).
Delivery time was good enough, lot of tape and shell colours to choose from and they sent a couple extra tapes too (not a single broken one in). Will certainly use their services again.

Anyone have experience with these guys?:

And does anyone have a good source for buying bulk blank type II cassettes in Europe? Can't seem to find anything among the stuff posted here, Audio Service website is down at the moment though...
