It seems that there is not much talk about this act (if I overlooked a topic, just put this one into it), though I really like all the records I have. What do you think? What are your favourite records? Just listened to 'neuroscan organization' LP and next will be 'At the mountains of paranoia' CD. I hope I'll be also in the mood this evening to listen to the Grunt and the Blutleuchte collaborations.

Lernaean-Catacomb-Complex on EST is easily my favorite release I've heard by Cloama. there are parts of it that just sound absolutely mournful to me, and not in a corny way. just really unique power electronics that I'd highly recommend to anyone

Sorry, but do you mean the Neuroscan Organisation LP and the Lernaean Catacomb Complex tape? Or something else?

FreakAnimalFinland

Neuroscan Organisation + Blood Illumination on one CD.
I would say CD format compliments most of Cloama well. There has been some talk about CD version of Municipality Of Marionettes as on CD master some tracks have much heavier and bassy sound.

Cloama "cultivate" CDR
Was listening this last night. Full length, 40+ min release self published by artist back in 1997. I recall it was probably 2nd release of Cloama. Tool Wars tape came out in summer, and this soon after. Crispy and fierce, but somewhat slow tempo harsh noise is name of the game. Entirely different from style that started to shape in couple of years. Cloama has changed its style completely several times. I like basically all. Most know his work (if at all) from 2000's dark and hi-tech PE/industrial/ambient blend, but indeed there was these highly limited self financed plain harsh noise titles. Rumors say this CDR was manufacture perhaps 5 copies, hah.. Each copy has metal plate as cover. Artist got bored in cutting the metal plates very quickly. In late 90's you will find splits with Diagram-A and Abfall, so he certainly had contacts outside Finland. Late 90's some collaboration works with Grunt was far more wider availability.
Now that Proof of Shooting label and I hear also Abfall is getting somehow "remembered", one would think if there would be need to talk about 90's Finnish harsh noise, Cloama is certainly one of the names to remember. This CD could be new tape of New Forces or something and would not sound "dated" at all.

If thinking about Finland back in 90's, existence of PURE harsh noise was not so common. Sure Grunt and Bizarre Uproar was doing things, but neither was like -total harsh noise-. Both of these did pure harsh noise releases already years before, but they were doing also other things, with rhythm, vocals, etc.
Now trying to think timeline, when exactly the Finn pure noise distortion stuff became active... I guess it is safe to say Cloama was among to first ones that were that solid.
