Bloated Slutbag

QuoteI was at a Halloween party when I realized that I had several missed calls and texts from this guy I had casually slept with a couple of days ago. Only an hour had passed since he sent the first message, but the texts he had sent since then were getting angrier and angrier. When I called him back the next day, he called me a slut and hung up on me.

Wonder if that was my old housemate, Mick. Lady dropped him after a single date at which I believe he had made zero progress. Spent the evening buying drinks for the sad bastard as he struggled to compose  a poem a expressing his true feelings for her, small pile of crumpled drafts gathering at his feet. Don't think he ever made it past the first line, "You fucking slut..."
Someone weaker than you should beat you and brag
And take you for a drag

"Sound Art" - it's not enough that it's pretentious, academic and boring as batshit, now it's got to be Right-On.

QuoteSo he and James would come round to my room and the three of us would listen to Supertramp albums...

Wonder what kind of shit you have to smoke to make them sound good.

So, is the museum new? I would have thought it had been around for awhile.  There a walking tour of the murder sites, right?

tiny_tove

yes indeed.

what next? closing inquisition museums, concentration camps, old jails?

There are a lot of Jack the Ripper walking tours, pretty sure London Dungeon has a Jack the Ripper section. I'm so tired of all of these wanky campaigns to shut things down/ban things that really aren't that bad. Ban all bad things! I don't agree that this museum is anti-women, people are fascinated by famous crimes. Always have been.

I do like the name Cereal Killer though. The only time I would ever pay £3 for a bowl of cereal is if they had peanut butter Capn' Crunch. I haven't had that since I was a kid, I'm sure it probably tastes disgusting now.

There are certain pundits writing for The Graunaid that I just wont read, like Jessica Valenti, who totally disgraced herself when she stood up for "Jackie", the individual who was interviewed in Rolling Stone about her "rape", only to completely stuff up the details of this apparent event. She totally places ideology over reality. But some of the others are just predictable.

In the meantime, Cracked seems to continue its downward spiral into wanting to be the next Vice or something.

QuoteDepending on who you talk to, the world is either full of casual racism that pervades every aspect of our lives, or the world is full of a bunch of oversensitive PC types getting worked up about nothing. Well, here's what we can say for sure: If you go looking for hilariously terrible messages about race in pop culture, it is not hard to find them -- whether they're intentional or not. Tell us if we're wrong ...
