oooOooo – "Onomatopeia Monolítica" & "Advento Refractário" Double Tape



oooOooo, is a surrealistic and organic sonic expression, based on layers of sound with recited poetry in sonic solve et coagula operation.

Growing from a Hurdy Gurdy base and other hand-made instruments, oooOooo uses Drone and Noise, with Ritualistic Folk touches and poetic evocations, to create a sonic mass that lead us to the grandiose and austere northern mountains. Two compelling works in perfect symbiosis between the evocation of long gone times full of tradition and the more contemporaneous experimental sonic exploration.

OooOooo debuts in physical format by the hands of New Approach Records in a double cassette edition, compiling "Onomatopeia Monolítica" and " Advento Refractário" in a limited edition of 50 copies, 45 regular and 5 special (sold out) including the two cassettes in a wooden box engraved by hand and a hand-made inlay.

The fourth volume of the "Poison" series is in production stages. Been gathering contributions for this volume since 2018 and will be available in 2021. It grown a lot in lenght and number of artists comparing to the previous volumes, making this volume a massive 2 CD edition with no less than 31 contributions from a vast spectrum of the Noise Industrial scene from all around the world.

"Turba", a Portuguese expression for "mob" or "rabble", is Metadevice's return to a more evident structured sense of composition, often rhythmically guided, combining a wide range of sounds from harsh throbbing synths, loops, electrified drones and even rusty-edged guitars to build sharp industrialized music.

Driven by the intense vocals of Rui Almeida (experimental rock NU's frontman), whose lyrics in both Portuguese and English merge his own words with appropriations from T.S. Eliot, Thomas Pynchon or Nathaniel West, this is an album about collective alienation, raving individualism and a deep dive into the hyperreality of our modern times. This mass movement is not a liberation, but an inexorable escalation of autophagic violence and atomization towards the void.

Released in a limited 8 panel digisleeve CD, fully illustrated by A. Coelho.

New Approach Records is happy to present the new volume of our compilation "Poison". This 4th volume is presented in a Triple CD edition with oversized booklet and includes a massive line up of participants. Also, for the first time we have a visual participation by Manuel Pereira with a full booklet of collage artwork specially made for the compilation.

As always, each participation is exclusive to the compilation and was recorded by each artist for "Poison", based around the theme. This volume includes Active Denial, Anonymous Masturbaudioum, Coalminer, [Code Neda], Cronaca Nera, Detrimental Effect, Edge of Decay, Flutwacht, Government Alpha, Gyakusatsu, Himukalt, Isomer, Kadaver, Mademoiselle Bistouri, Metadevice, Military Position, Moral Order, Naxal Protocol, Offerbeest, Pollutant, Satanismo Calibro, Shift, Spiteful Womb, Stonejaw, Swollen Organs, Taeter, Totenrune, Tube Tentacles, Umpio, Westendhall & Xiphoid Dementia.

Just before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in Europe, Italian Noise project Venta Protesix and German Harsh Noise duo Jugendwerkhof joined forces and recorded "Sterilitätszelotismus" a collaboration focused the obsessive cleaning behavior.
Sonically this is a journey through Harsh Noise sounds and a perfect blend of both projects approaches to it.

Deprivation - "Keep my grave open" CD

Deprivation is an Italian Death Industrial/P.E. project active since 2012.
With a few releases under its belt, the project had been refining its sound during
these years and can now present a cohesive identity inside the genre.
"Keep my grave open" pays homage to the old
names of Italian Industrial and presents us an immersive work of slow passed
Death Industrial, sometimes dissonant yet almost atmospheric.
A perfect soundtrack for the bleak times ahead and a morbid tribute to the dead.

Linekraft - "Howling" CD

Currently one of the top artists of the Japanese contemporary Industrial/Power Electronics scene, Linekraft hardly needs any introductions to any more or less aware Industrial follower.

Thematically based on serial killer David Richard Berkowitz, "Howling" carries an oppressive and dark atmosphere built upon the familiar Linekraft blasts of junk and heavy electronics as well as a very dense sense of urban decay.
"Howling" is yet another beam in the incredible monument of restless and uncompromised sound work.
