Truckfukers = Keränen + 2 other Finnish guys doing kind of later era Solmania kind of massive effect fueled guitar wall harsh noise.

Jaakko Vanhala was solid and intense, slightly longer than before (?), fierce, well build. Master of noise!

Maaa, Started extremely intensive, continued with more blasting good harsh noise and ending was great subtle drifting feedback and heavy explosions of harsh noise hammerings. I wish the ending would have lasted longer!

Sewer Election started very quiet, I was afraid audience talking and quiet field recordings would be atrocious combination. As soon as people realized that THIS is the live set, and it got louder and more textured, it was proven to be well crafted manipulation of field recording tapes. Good structure to build intensity and remain fairly slowpaced and minimal. After all, possible best Sewer Election I have seen?? I do appreciate his harsh noise sets very highly, but something was very good in this set.

Altar Of Flies was great. Hard to say do I prefer this or show I saw in Sweden, but it was great to see loooong reel-to-reel tape loops done live. Noisier beginning, always with sense of rhythm - but even greater ending of set.

Crowd was about 100 people and was good to see crowd purchase so much foreign bands merch so not much to bring back home.

More shows there? I hope so!

Very satisfying event all the way: excellent performances, very good audience turn out and no major fuck ups (except not having enough beer to sell). Big thanks to artists and SI readers who attended! The venue will close/move in next march, I would guess there will be some potentially interesting gigs before that.

As for The Truckfuckers, more performances and aktions are under consideration.

MAAAA was the highlight of the evening for me. the guy in a real (!) police uniform shirt knows his gear ***extremely*** well, the control between the quiet sounds and the sudden explosions was xlent - no random fumbling around at all. a few times the crunching avalanches stopped for agonizing feedbacks, which create the feel of "o-oh, if whatever happens next comes from the wrong device or channel it will be embarassing", motionless microseconds of stillstanding expectation, but then BOOM.... also the video was powerful, police brutality stills.... and i agree, way too short.

other performances seemed routined and ranged from ok to excellent... but Karjalan Mölypoliisi MAAAA was brilliant. hope to see this again sooner than later.

edit: thanx for de distro support!

That was the show!!
It's not happening very often when all performances are fucking blast and awesome. But that night was a perfect example that's possible.
Amazing sound, huge crowd and great performances. Everything was just perfect.
THE TRUCKFUCKERS - The sound was very brutal and intense. Loved it.
JAAKKO VANHALA - Very loud and firce stuff!
MAAAA - Everything was OK I think.
SEWER ELECTION - Great! Didn't know what to expect from the gig, but loved it very much.
ALTAR OF FLIES - Very solid and heavy stuff. Very nice.

Thanks everyone for great support and your feedback. I'm glad to hear/read it!

Thanks and respect goes (again and again) to everyone who organize the event and took care about us: Tommi, Ilpo and Julie; all performers - all of you did great job; the crowd - it was really big one!
