I can't be the only person here who enjoys wallowing in the output of the most insane conspiracy theorists around today. Read Robert Anton Wilson in my teens but I guess the interest in the real fringe material started when I obtained a copy of 'Trance Formation of America' by Cathy O'Brien during the 90s - a woman who claimed she and her daughter were used as programmed sex slaves for the elite. Two of my favourites: http://www.dataasylum.com/index.html - he's a little vague about the details of who is doing it but this provides a startling unified explanation of all the strangeness in the world today - also works as a film list! Emily Gyde - innumerable websites dating back to 2006, just Google the name - if taken as one long book her writings must surely be one of the most ambitious works of semi-autobiography ever attempted. Try http://www.royalarchcrumbles.blogspot.com as an intriguing entry point. NB in the interests of sanity: these links are provided for entertainment purposes only.

big fan of david icke's writings. too stupid, but absolutely entertaining.
Loved the Jon Ronson's documentary series "Them"...
In Italy we have this moron on Tv named Adam Kadmon who is spreading absolutely demented material mixing several theories.

from the BioAPI site.
"Early in the video Lady Gaga kisses some guy. On his right shoulder is a tattoo of a hornet which apparently is symbolic of the devil in Jewish culture or something. Then later on in the movie after some dancing (transforming?) they flash the picture to the right, her head is a telephone. Telephone = BioAPI."
Oh man, that's classic shit. TELEPHONE=BioAPI ! ! ! !
Watch out!

Rauni-Leena Luukkanen-Kilde is probably the most famous finnish conspiracy theory "lunatic"? Pretty basic stuff, microchips inserted into humans through swine flu vaccinations, Breivik was controlled by microchip etc.. Shame that there is not much about her in english.

It's pretty easy to dismiss David Icke as his books are so badly sourced and reprint the ravings of the crazies he thinks are good sources.
However tonight I was at a lecture by Professor Dawn Archer who's a highly regarded and very mainstream academic dealing with journalism, framing of news stories and corpus linguistics - she used the 'problem/reaction/solution' paradigm popularised by Icke 20 years ago while addressing the language of power and how masses are manipulated. Pretty cool that she also had huge blow-up headlines of Karen Matthews, Rose West, Jon Venables and Myra Hindley in the lecture theatre to illustrate the 'Othering' procedure used in journalism, especially News International.

I've been in to that sort of stuff since also reading Robert Anton Wilson, Kerry Wendell Thornley, Subgenius stuff, etc. in junior high school but for some reason I can never remember details about any of the stuff I've read. It just exits my brain as soon as I'm done reading it. I've only recently come to understand KWT's "Step-Brother" thing, despite having read his explanations over and over again.
I have the same problem with horribly bad science-fiction novels. I really enjoy reading them, but when I'm finished one, don't ask for a detailed account of what I just read.

big fan of david icke's writings. too stupid, but absolutely entertaining. I remember a friend of mine, someone I once knew from the anarchist scene, talking to me over the phone about this bloke's "theories" without actually naming him. He referred to what he called "the invisible, humanoid, shape-shifting reptiles who live in the centre of the Earth". When I asked him point blank if he believed that guff he said "I wont say it's true and I wont say it's not true". He used to do a lot of drugs.

Lecture I attended from Dr.Steven Jones fired from Brown university for publishing about his "findings" regarding 9/11 breaking the laws of physics, more about "nanothermite powder" found in rubble and constantly referring to "Ground Zero" as a "Crime Scene." Interesting to say the least. No doubt in my mind that there were some sketchy things happening on that day regardless of who believes what. The person who filmed this video was somehow unaware of the camera squeaking. part1:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4P_P8kWuQ8 part2:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLHYcexpwxk&feature=relmfu part3:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLG4W6iHBWI&feature=relmfu As it was a full lecture, it goes on and on to 11 parts.

Not sure whether to start a separate thread for this as isn't directly about "crackpot" theories
Well of course some theories may well be true. There is a whole lot we are not made aware of especially in the military world - see the patch gallery at http://www.american-buddha.com/icouldtellyou.1.htm and following pages. A thread for both entertaining crazies and obscure information then.
