50 total; 12 dead, 38 wounded. Boobytrapped apartment, S&W AR-15, 12ga shotgun, & 2 Glock .40S&W handguns, bulletproof vest/throatprotector/ballistic helmet & leggings (!!!), gasmask, & possibly a teargas cannister.

MSNBC has already started on gun control. A Democract Gov. said no one should be able to own a nuclear-fired rocket launcher. Another guest said explosives need to be regulated & gun-smuggling banned. Not too sure but I would think there are already state/federal laws about explosives, gunsmuggling, & murder. I'd love to see a nuclear-fired rocket launcher.

Oh, and they blamed glorification of violence in movies. And there were young children in attendance.

With how bad most comic book movies tend to be, can't say I'm surprised! If only someone had taken similar action at the Watchmen premier.

Many shitey comic adaptations sure, for me Watchmen is not one of them.

The "kids in attendance" thing will probably give rise to heated debate over stricter controls/censorship but, ultimately, whether kids were there or not people would've still gotten shot.

Occupy comic book adaptations.

Several funnies.
Associated with Batman shooting:

the guy hears the shooting, runs away, leaving his fiancee with the daughter, drops the baby, drives home alone, calls to his fiancee, drives back.

Click on the next video after the crying kid to see some stupid woman set herself on fire trying to burn down someone's house. Made me laugh.

Quote from: RyanWreck on July 18, 2012, 06:38:49 PMI knew a tweaker who had a secret crawl spot that he put behind a large screen TV that went into his wall. The cops raided his Meth lab one day and he hid in that wall for 6 hours and the Marshall's service didn't catch him for almost a month later in a different state. His girlfriend told me they had K9's too but they didn't catch his scent in there. He just sat there, pretty comfortably, and listened to them going through his shit and breaking down his lab.

Made me think of a story I heard from a  guy I know... he worked a shit job clearing out apartments of evicted people and one place he went into, he found a guy under the couch, who exclaimed "Wow I thought you were the cops!" and took off...

Here's a list of all 'mass' shootings in the U.S. compiled by The Brady Campaign:

Just saw an interview with a woman who thinks that everyone should "at least" have to show an ID to buy a gun. You'd think these reporters would have to do, at least, some research before opening their mouths.

Ice-T is more reliable than any reporter and that's sad.

Has anyone noticed the trend moving towards mass shootings over serial killing? Seems that serials are becoming more n' more rare; I'm thinking the current crop need immediate gratification and attention instead of being cautious & patient. For mass killers, I miss the anger from older shooters like James Huberty or the precision/skill of Charles Whitman. It's hard not to think that the last few, if they could have just found someone to hug them & dump some pills down their throat, they wouldn't have been so dramatic over minor issues.

Looks like the CO. shooter didn't do much training with his AR & the Beta mag; the Beta is known for working well but it needs to be lubed with graphite. I'm guessing he used cheap Russian .223 ammo (bought in bulk) which isn't the best of quality hence the jamming/feeding issues he couldn't clear. The AR's chamber getting hot with the lacquer coating (seals bullet to casing; I remember it on Wolf ammo being red) on some the Russian ammo gums up fast- I've had a case stuck in my AR. To get it out I had to dump a bunch of oil inside, let it sit then poked it out with a cleaning rod. From then on, I was much slower on the trigger & ran a Bore Snake through after  every few mags. That may not be the case with the S&W M&P AR-15 if it's piston-driven (chamber doesn't heat up as quickly, maybe?)...
