Bioni Samp

As a electronic music producer and seasonal beekeeper. I was inspired to learn more about bee frequencies and make a creative work that incorporated these bee frequencies in the hope of raising awareness about bees and their increasingly fragile ecology system.

en creux

Taiwanese experimental artist based in London. Performs and releases music under the alias 'en creux' where the sound creation springs from their fascinations in noise generated via feedback on digital and analogue equipment, and their role as a 'mediator-performer' in the multifaceted relationship between the sonic events incurring within the self-regulated system.

Howlround

Marking 10 years since first coming to prominence with hugely-acclaimed 2012 LP The Ghosts Of Bush, Howlround is a quintet (four slightly battered machines machines, one slightly battered operator) that creates recordings and performances entirely from manipulating natural acoustic sounds on vintage reel-to-reel tape machines, with all electronic effects or artificial reverb strictly forbidden. In an age where one can create all manner of electronic music with a simple swipe of a mouse, Howlround prove not only how much fun is to be had in making things complicated again, but conversely just how little effort is sometimes needed to create a genuinely uncanny and beguiling soundworld: the rough underbelly of our pristine, Pro-Tools universe.

NNJA RIOT

Nnja Riot is the project of multidisciplinary artist Lisa McKendrick. Her music is an exploration into the possibilities of instruments, electronics, collected sounds and the human voice. She performs with a combination of samplers, sequencers, self-built and modified synths. Onstage she likes to explore ideas of art as ritual through self-made costume and objects. Her collected sounds reference the understanding of place through sound and the spiritual significance of locations revisited. She has co-designed the Fort Processor and Chernobylizer which are psychogeographic experimental synths.

easterner

Eric Lee (easterner) is an interdisciplinary artist from London/Hong Kong, currently based in New York, who is curious about the cyborg condition: what does it mean to live in interconnected human-machine communities in a precarious world? He experiments with–and glitches–old and new technologies, ubiquitous to obsolete, to explore their poetic potential, as well as to critique their roles in society. He performs as part of the livecode.nyc community, writing code and glitching hardware and software live on stage to make ambient, abstract, minimal, and rhythmic audiovisual performances.

Egle Saka

Egle Saka is a London-based, graphic and video artist working with modified analog medium and new media art. Her work captures textural nuances of glitches, noise, and distorted/manipulated audio-visual signals as she seeks to elicit contemplative resonance by bringing the beauty of imperfections to the forefront of the viewer's awareness. Her work includes analog and digital video and sound art, site-specific projection installations, and live audio-visual performances.

SW1n-HUNTER

SW1n-HUNTER is the solo sonic project of noise artist Adam Denton. His recorded output, released on labels such as Opal Tapes and Fort Evil Fruit, is a dérive through the workings of the network, where frazzled samples, redirected electricity and disarmingly joyful noise emerge from the media machine's interior to create something beautiful and unnerving all at once. Live, Denton combines aspects of frequency sculpture, instrumental mutation, environmental recording, machine/human utterance, feedback systems and movement in his performances.

DHANGSHA (Bengali for 'destruction') sits at the interface of bass culture and experimental noise, creating a kind of 'mutant dancehall' – dark, edgy soundscapes where distorted alien motifs evolve over sparse but heavy beats. His remit is to explore minimalism, repetition and fragmentation in sound. He has performed at the Bogotrax electronic festival in Colombia as well as touring with rap/noise duo Yao Bobby and Simon Grab in the UK, Germany and Switzerland. He has performed several times at Southend's Control Voltage and Brighton's Spirit of Gravity. Aside from releasing his own albums, he has contributed to compilations by Avon Terror Corps and Syrphe.
