I've bought a few weeks ago the release Sonica Veneficii (1999) https://www.discogs.com/Various-Sonica-Veneficii/release/3224121 that contains a CDr I can't read with my current player (DENON DN T620). I've tried also on an external but cheap cd/dvd player but nothing can be read on the disc (the disc after few spins is ejected).
I see the recording traces, so the CD is certainly written. The surface looks clean, doesn't have any major scratch, I can just see the original CDr cover icon looking it against the light.
Does anyone have a suggestion on a good cd player that can read old recorded CDs? I remember good readers for data were the Liteon players but don't know if there is something else to try
Thanks

I know very old CD players wont play CDrs - which might be the case, but if a DVD / CD player wont play this it sounds
like a bad CDr. Also early CDr recorders  were often not 100%, often producing coffee coasters... I assume your computer has not DVD / CD reader?

Edit. USB CD / DVD player / burners for computers seem cheap- so maybe worth a try?

Thanks for the support, yes I've also tested with an USB cd/dvd player but without luck. Will try to bring back some old equipment or at least trying with another PC.
It's a pity because I can't even find a digital version online/p2p
I will keep searching and trying
Thanks
