Zoom H8

The Zoom H8 looks like an insect, really bizarre looking thing.

yes
I like the fact you can change capsule for recordings,... problem is that in lock-down I can't go doing proper recordings sob ...

I kinda want a H8, I have a H4n which is more than sufficient for my use so I probably won't buy one unless I find it for a good price used & sell the H4n.

The Bastl Intruments stuff looks fantastic

I kept them both since the H4n is light and I can take it out to record sketches. What I find stupid of the H8 is that it is not provided of an USB-C that would have made it also an excellent soundcard. But for the rest is great. In my non-noise live I also record podcasts for  company stuff and it's podcast features are silly but work very well.

Yes. They are cheap and powerful, the Kastles have low frequencies and patterns that really give me hard ons when assembling "German-style" backing tracks.
Yesterday I played with the Drum, that IMHO is marketed wrongly like a percussion, but instead is an interesting pulse generator.

I am posting some clips on my instagram, will try to publish something that makes more sense on youtube maybe?

Neutral labs elmyra, digital / analog hybrid drone synth with touch pads similar to lyra8. It was cheap and ive wanted a lyra8 for a while. Sounds pretty good, altho certainly not as good as full analog.

scissa

Got a Digitakt about a month ago but have had fuck all time to get to know it.

Although, saying that, I got a new 7 string even more recently and have come up with a good 75% of an album with that since then. A slightly simpler tool.

Took the plunge on a Minibrute 2S. Certainly a lot more to it then the original, have barely scratched the surface yet.

It looks incredibly versatile.  I procrastinate for too long on what to buy then something new comes out.  This would be a good purchase though as it would integrate very nicely with my Neutron.

I liked the Elmyra so much that I sold it and bought a Lyra8, and that's not a joke: it sounded great & I fell in love with the way you make sound with it, but the limitation of only 3 voices made me want to upgrade. Now I couldn't be happier, the Lyra8 like a dream come true. Well, the only thing it's missing IMO is the option to change the volume output of individual voices, which I know you can do with touch controls but it would be nice to be abled to put a hard limit. It also has an External input so that you can run external audio through it's unpredictable and very noisy delay effect as well as two CV inputs, which I'm not exactly sure what you can do with yet. Highly recommended device for anyone into synthesizer noise.

If I'll ever be able to plat live again, I'd surely bring my lyra with me. It is a complete synth with numberless features, that somehow you can repeat by repeating the settings. The delay is very powerful.
