Also of potential interest is the German label Voldsom Tapes, specifically the project Til Det Bergens Skyggene. Some of it is classic sounding dungeon synth, and some is BM intro\interlude acoustic or even some very weird tracks with accordion or something. But for sure worth checking out.

Hello, one of the most powerful recordings into dark occult/ritual is with no doubt: Akhkharu "Nos Noctium Dominarium" tape out on Dark Age Prod. in the late nineties, what a masterpiece!

Recently discovered Salac who I rather enjoy.  Ritual bass seance field recordings and noise.

Kind of surprising to me that in 4 pages, Lord Wind hasn't been mentioned. The early stuff (Forgotten Songs/split with Mysterial) is some of my favorite "extended BM intro" material. Here's the aforementioned Mysterial, which sounds like a draft for Lord Wind: https://youtu.be/_szCefGa-Nk

Early Equimanthorn is definitely on the better end of this too, much more atmospheric than the majority of dungeon synth, which often gets too gay/new agey for my tastes:

Amaka Hahina is worth a mention as well, falls in with the sounds of most of the LLN ambient/BM projects:

Helel Dalkiel is minimal "black industrial" type stuff from the 90's, worth checking out if you can find the tape.

Dhampyr does this very well on the Prison Tatt CD, excellent dark ambient comprising half of the CD or so, while the other half is excellent black metal.  Dhampyr has done some more noise-oriented tapes that are also worth noting.

AND...  It's a little too obvious, but worth noting because this is still some of my favorite of the genre:

I don't listen to dark ambient too much but I've been really into Werwolfsblut lately. Mostly while drawing or making collages.

T.G.V.T - Rinde Humano -
i actually found this in a used bin at a record store for $5. intrigued by the track on the "ant-hology" compilation on Ant-Zen i decided this was a good pick. unique sound. weird. https://www.discogs.com/Third-Global-Vagina-Torture-TGVT-Rinde-Humano/release/253421
Hadn't listened to this in a long time.  A little darker than Zoviet France, but if you like one, ZF might be of interest.  Also Tam Quam Tabula Rasa, Temps Perdu?, Hybryds, and maybe even Life Garden and W. David Oliphant's world.  TGVT is maybe more industrial in the sense and place of the early 90s.  Most of the tracks are around four minutes, so lots of ideas well explored on Rinde Humano.  I forget about this album, but I always really enjoy it when I get around to it.
