Periphoric Strain is the latest release from Knurl; Alan Bloor's deceptively crude, mercilessly brutal noise project that has been active since 1994. The last 8 years have seen, somehow, an increase in the brutality from his earlier works which were already fairly gnarly.

This is true amplified art object sounds, not just some bullshit effects. An intersection of harsh noise and sculpture with no overdubs or post production; an exhausting 40 minute face punch from one of Harsh Noise's most consistently scorching legacy artists.
