"A rare look into the life and works of the mysterious shaman of the eastern woods of Oslo, namely
Treeman. Hiking in a thick aerosol fog on endless subwaytracks through, under and beyond the city
conducting his obscure magic.
"Illusion of Control" is a retrospective movie, collection lots of previously short movies only shown in private
shows combined with never shown footage. All perfectly cut together into a new movie for the first time on DVD.
The result is a psychedelic mix of ancient looking newsreel, artfilm and meditation on endstations.
With its fragmented gaze on the city and rough pace this movie is defying categories and is to us the
visual equivalent of the perfect noisy, filthy but triumphant drone record. We at Records of the Fleshgod HQ
is proud to have this as our first movie release, as it stands out as a unique document of both the city and into
the realm of the obscure shaman Treeman."
