Ordered the hard back edition, looking forward to reading it all (originally before my time in this sphere of music)

Just listened through the bonus music content and its great to hear a snapshot of that era. The tracks sit together nicely which doesn't always happen in a compilation

Although there is only 5 tracks / 25 minutes of material I went through various versions playlist orders to determine the best flow and separation between what are some diverse tracks. I am glad you think the chosen order works well.

Also I think it would have been a stellar compilation if all intended contributors got me their interviews and tracks in time - but alas that was not to be, and ultimately resulted in the cancellation of Issue No.6 as I was moving overseas to London at that point (2002) for an extended period.

Not sure if it's just happening to me, but when trying to select the paperback version I keep getting the price of £29.99. Anyone else having the same issue?

"this is on purpose so as to encourage you to order [the hardback] directly from Headpress rather than Amazon etc. It works better for them financially and you get a nicer hardback book with digital 5 track compilation!!" - Noise Receptor on Instagram

Yep - the above is correct. The recommended retail price on the soft-cover is £29.99, so technically the hard-cover is 'discounted' by being the same price.

I will be taking some proper promo shots when my hard-covers arrive, but in the interim, some basic promo shots of the softcover can be seen here: https://www.instagram.com/noisereceptorjournal/
