Flanger Magazine - Breslin LP - $16.00 Released on KY label Sophomore Lounge, Flanger Magazine's Breslin hit's sweet spot after sweet spot for those into library electronic records, private folk, and modern composition. Even the art harkens to a lost opus stuffed in a moldy crate of records. This is positively one of my favorite albums of the year, and I can guarantee it will age well. Highest recommendation from me.

The gusts of wind and snow took many by surprise and forced them to stay at home. This was recorded in that time, with microphones out frozen windows, lots of tape speed manip + simple loops.
Non Uscire (Italian for "don't go out") was saved through the year after instantly recognizing it as the perfect album to bring our 2018 season to its lonely conclusion.

There's something reminiscent about listening to a record this overtly sexual; a parted-lipped nod to an earlier, less complicated kind of sexual politics. Clare S takes this well-trod subject matter and sublimates it throughout the panting, breathless totality of the tape.
Coronal Mass Ejection is a concise expression of a femme experience that's both vulnerable contextually while sonically inarguably one of the most muscular and brutal things we've released this year. This juxtaposition is worth spending some time on. As a puritanical streak in discourse grows stronger, there's been a narrowing of spaces for this sort of music. This release makes a case for more room for deviance, and it's a strong one.
