JDV is pleased to present new works of three individuals who in the last fifteen years have defined the physiognomy of a truly radically different "Italian Sound", which, unlike contiguous experiences that have also had some exposure within specific music criticism, have chosen to travel different and more bumpy paths, persevering with intimately and carelessly tough - when not hostile - proposals, indifferent to audience's enlargements and social media presence but still remaining equidistant both by an arrogant sectarianism and by reckless acrobatic - and often embarassing - metamorphoses, ambiguities, indecisions...

Mercury Hall "Living table" is the umpteenth demonstration of the talent of Matteo Castro (Second Sleep, Lettera 22, Drug Age)...The familiar that becomes something else, the opaque musicality of your everyday life stirred through loops and tape-echo, masterfully! Michele Mazzani (Dona Ferentes, Videobasic, Lonktaar label) is a true solitary hero, a postman, a great alpine walker... "Lucus a non lucendo" it's as if The Skaters had taken a skid for early M.B. and Post mortem stuff... Nicola Vinciguerra's (also Taeter, Turgid Animal...) Fecalove doesn't need too much introduction... "Europe is my cum rag" is another great essay into filthy harsh electronics, to enjoy with mocking smile and the something in the hand...

Elisha Morningstar's double tape collects four recent audio experiments, old ways and some news...

Any other US folks receive their copies yet? Italian post is taking forever and I'm a bit worried it won't show up.

I would say it might be actually US post that fucks it up. Of course Italian post is notorious, but there are numerous cases over last few years, when I can see from tracking that shipment leaves Finland in 1-2 days of sending it. It is on the plane to US, and physically there in 1 day. Next thing is 2-8 weeks of absolutely nothing happening. Then suddenly even months later cluttered JFK customs/handling releases box to delivery. It happens all the time, which makes it annoying, since there is nothing one can do about it. Other letters and boxes travel in 4-5 days, others - regardless if sent by Express Mail Service, can be whatever random time.

I can easily agree with this - with my distro packages leaving Los Angeles after almost a month of sitting around and packages arriving at my place obviously opened and inspected, it's not so much senders and international services I worry about, but dipshit USPS employees that make the good ones look bad. I once got a box from only two states away which despite $200 insurance and huge "FRAGILE" sticker, looked like it'd been kicked or stepped on. Not to mention 2 or 3 domestic packages arriving open with tape cases literally shattered... And they have the fucking nerve to charge $14 minimum for international.

Anyway, it did show up and Francesco was more than helpful. I'll stop bitching now, but was just clarifying.
