Description from label:

The slippery action of this tender love affair comes on strong and gets complicated fast. Accordion wizard and macabre torch singer Egan Budd has dropped an incredible debut full-length album with his eponymous Headstone Brigade. You may know Egan as the sound designer extraordinaire behind the project Xiphoid Dementia, but you may not have known about his virtuosity with the accordion or his acumen for songwriting and orchestration. Lush chamber folk with a big heart, the friction between reed, string, and brass arrangements creates delicate patterns like neon lights flashing through stained glass. Rainy night music on the town with the stumbling soliloquies of a young deathrock Scott Walker. Loneliness like the sound of kicking an empty wine bottle down a vaulted marble corridor, the stranger croons into his broomstick like a janitor of lunacy, and the air grows thick with haunted ballroom atmospherics of near Lynchian proportions. We are very proud to release a debut full of such absorbing nocturnal epics and look forward to what the future brings for this sensational talent.
