may possibly be an old thread, but only seen on occs with purchases.
these are clearly not noise etch related but still popular and collectable.
what are your faves soundtracks, composers, release labels etch?

ANDROPHILIA

about labels Varese Sarabande still the best label possible. probably because was the only label  devoted with method is ost when there's not the actual wave about this.

waxwork undoubtedly  makes products "boutique" and makes me happy

Composer : not easy but Pino Donaggio i think.

fast soldout

It's weird that Waxwork would spend 2 years to secure everything for a release that sold out in a couple of weeks.

I've stopped paying attention to the OST releases. It's much better to just buy the Blu-ray.

The Thing sold out in literally an hour and they were forced to do a quick pre-order reissue for a day. For something that anticipated, there is no reason they couldn't have done a press of 10,000 or so. They still would have sold out because that's not even that many copies for such a widely known OST.

I'm guessing it was a pain working with Universal & they probably limited the number of records that could be pressed.

I wish I had bought Waxwork's release of Creepshow...

Its the new Vinyl Trend, what makes them Sold Out. The CD version you can still buy and for all, who are interested in it, Alan Howarth sells it in his own Shop directly

even Richard Band ( Re-Animator I + II, From Beyond, Arena ect) sells his own Soundtracks

watching the vinegar syndrome release of 'don't answer the phone' enjoyed the dated80's sound that has been popular while, though with monde/death waltz going ever more mainstream, if ever released it will likely be on newer smaller label.
see Keith's point though about the blu ray approach to soundtrack listening with higher priced, less good, more hipster issues arriving  all the time

david lloyd jones

thinking back, possibly the first post recording I got, was (after a couple of war theme and bond song things)
'apocalypse now'
still played now and again and at the time wonder because it had dialogue on it, not just music.
the fil itself, militaristic, exotic, nihilistic, with some of the (later confirmed on Sophia Coppola's doc) myths, all part of the burgeoning industrial culture aesthetic

'eraserhead' on alternative tentacles also sticker out, not just as sound, but that something like a soundtrack could come out on a punk record label

pieces ost as cd extra with blu/DVD issue.
all stolen from other films!
