usually underground works in a way that you contact people you need to, and explain what you want. Unless there is modern type of "online store" to place orders.
Sometimes it may be few days of waiting, but I would assume it is obvious that most labels on the field are not doing it as "work" so one can't expect it to be as efficient as those who run "business".

Not perhaps to be labeled "RAC", but melodic fascist tiger punk, Bronson, probably the best from Italy!

Great stuff !! Same "not prehaps to be..." goes for SPQR... simply best NSHC band from Italy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yr-2Ex-nPhM

Have listened to these two artists for the last two months obsessively ever since seeing them posted here.

Haven't loved such a poppy punk band in ages. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUhukcagwJI

It is very charming also the graphic style of many releases , rude ans "illegal publication" mood.

Had the pleasure of listening to this Storm album a few months ago. Excruciatingly bad drummer from the waist down, keeps messing with the kick drum in every single song, as if the pedal is too loose or just an eager foot.

For few years especially, there has been huge stream of vinyl releases/reissues. Most of genre classics & things worth of money seem to be reissued on LP.

Just recent, what may interest some Finns at least, is Mistreat/Bound For Glory LP as well as finally first time official LP "Faith & Fury". Curiously everything from good sounding record, glossy lyric sheets to non-pixelated covers, it seems almost too good, hah...

Today is the anniversary of the death of ISD

i give any bet that some clandestine rac concerts did happen yesterday

you bet your ass they did, and i didn't get to attend any of them.

the only thing i didn't see previously listed that's worth mentioning is Twierdza, who can be fairly hit or miss, although everything i've heard off of "Lot Orła" is solid.

Mikko's probably gonna kill me for writing this, but I listen to Vapaudenristi (first two studio albums) like other people listen to NOFX or Lagwagon. So catchy and singalongy! I know a lot of Oi! is like that, but this particular brand is especially... melodic? I might have already read it somewhere, but what were the main influences? Plastic Surgery maybe?

FreakAnimalFinland

In such case, you should check the 4th album, the latest "Kultainen Häkki". It may be the most melodic, most "punk", with lots of sing along type of thing. Plastic Surgery has been covered in one split album, influences were always pretty much the same: Antiseen, GG Allin, Skrewdriver, Störkraft, Freikorps, Brutal Combat, Misfits, etc.

Cranial Blast

Quote from: AXNAAR on September 20, 2016, 03:02:51 PMMostly enjoy the 28 bands with a bit more metal influence like Vengeance, Squadron and later Skrewdriver and the early White Noise era stuff from Public Enemy, Brutal Attack, Close Shave, Skullhead, ABH etc especially the recording quality. That feral house book has great descriptions and stories from the key albums of the movement.
Some personal faves:
Skrewdriver - Demo '83
Brutal Attack - Stronger than Before and Demos
No Remorse - This Time The World
Vengeance - Forward into War
Skrewdriver - The Strong Survive
White Diamond - The Reaper (commonly regarded as rubbish, but I like it)
Squadron - Our Time Will Come & Take The Sword

I also agree with the more "metal influence" being more enjoyable in RAC/Oi. Skrewdriver's The Strong Survive album, definitely has more metal sounding riffs than previous albums, some of the songs remind me of Atomkraft or other NWOBHM type stuff.

That book was certainly an entertaining read, without being amazingly well written and produced. Y'r man, Forbes, also had a Death In June book, in which he sort of came across as somewhat anti-racist, but that's not the case in the RAC one. Anyway, I'm not that gone on the metal influence, to be honest; I prefer the oi! style a bit more. Besides that, lot of RAC albums tend to have one or two very good tracks, and the rest are pretty forgettable - and that applies to Brutal Attack's latest, too. I know you could say that about most genres. However, one I came across recently was Celtic Dawn's "Faith And Fatherland". Not too polished, but better produced than some of this stuff. The lyrics are class, delivered with a perfect tone of base guttural resentment. More of the punk sound, less of the metal, and I suppose I must admit to seeking this out for the fact they were Irish lads having a go. Not sure if they were UK-based or not, but they did attempt to start some sort of scene here - which fell flat.

FreakAnimalFinland

Brutal Attack latest was decent, but I think Mexico live CD was actually some of the best things for long time. Whole Mexico thing stirred quite a lot polemic in scene, but live album is good nevertheless!

Recently was at gig with Heroes (swe) playing after some years silence.
