ANDREW NOLAN - We Know Now What a Modern Society Can Do with a Parking Lot CSPerforming noise over the years under such monikers and in such projects as DEATH AGONIES, JOSHUA NORTON CABAL, WINDSCALE and more recently SCALP ELEVATOR and WOLVES OF HEAVEN, Andrew Nolan is a name perhaps most synonymous with bands such as THE ENDLESS BLOCKADE and COLUMN OF HEAVEN. Although the aforementioned projects can all be regarded with at least some degree of abrasiveness, this tape, the first under his own name, is decidedly not harsh noise. Field recordings from construction sites and other intriguing locales around Toronto coupled with bits that are no doubt inspired by the early works of German electronic composers such as KLAUS SCHULZE or those in CLUSTER. 23-odd minutes of that.
