Recordsofthefleshgod is an independent label based in Oslo. Created to release music from the audacious and genre-defying elite of the Oslo underground. We believe in physical formats but will have our releases available for download as well. The Fleshgod operates not exclusively within noise, but this thread will be updated with releases relevant to this forum.

Utilizing carefully recorded and maltreated fieldrecordings, as well as samples, scrap metal and feedback from rotten amplifiers, Pestorgel paints a picture of downtrodden rural marshlands where the days are spent toiling on fields that give nothing but death and disease as their reward.

STURM & ROME combines shamelessly wagnerian synthesizers with pedal noise and poetry. Like black metal submerged in an electronic torrent, the cold waves of the KYBERMENSCH are continually mangled and reshaped by STRIDSHODE. Through the wreckage, STURMGEIST proclaims the awakening of youth and loves lost.

Recorded live at the temple of the Fleshgod and engineered by yours truly. Artwork and logo by Sindre Foss Skancke.

The fleshgod ain't dead. Out as of yesterday - Nordens Dødsmyter/Niklas Alexander Marritt split. The artists describe their contributions as follows:

- Niklas Alexander Marritt -
Songs from the woods of Sweden born out of a catacombic heart in the years of 2017-2018. Desperate cries and mournful anger towards the distant Creator expressed through this blend of harsh noise, industrial textures and acoustic ballads. But through walls of the cacaphonic mindscape, there is also a hope to reveal the harsh poetic beauty of the dark night of the soul.

- Nordens Dødsmyter -
A free form musical entity whose work is usually based around field recordings. Earlier releases are in the spectre of murky conceptual field recordings to more pop music structures and intense harsh noise blasts. The song on this split sees a more dronelike approach, concentrating around repetative synthlines and blurry loops surrounded by processed fieldrecordings and the demented priests chant. No forgiveness.
