Man, these Evergreen students are NUTS!

Damn, this is so confused and sad. The students pc left (?) world-view is thought provokingly distorted and polarizing from where I am sitting. The latter efx is quite funny as it is traditionally a political tool utilized by the right / conservative. Have they no clue or relation to the history that they are representing or flaunting? However, this would be quite an interesting social experiment (but maybe too much to hope?). It got me thinking about an old Israeli Educational Television film my class was forced to see during our first school years. Though the plot is not the same, there are similarities in the two cases when considering group belonging/mentality, "mono vision", etc. Eh! Student uprising for the wrong reasons according to this small clip... I just hope there is more depth to the action than the media presents...

On a small end comment... have to say that there is some parallels with the Norwegian public / media reality as well as the overall homogeneous music / art scene.

reading the recent posts re: students, begs the question, are students the new 'fascists'?
and is fascism devoid of it's historical meaning?

Yes. I had a debate with a friend about this in the 1990's because she insisted on calling Pauline Hanson and her party "fascist", and I made the mistake of trying to correct her. That did not end well. When people are just throwing words like "fascist" and "nazi" around because of emotional gusto we may as well chuck in meaning all together. The kids aren't new fascists, they're new Humpty Dumpty's, changing the meaning of words to fit whatever post-adolescent genetic rage their bodies are going through.

The problem is they're being taken seriously instead of being slapped down and told to shut up and stop disrupting classes for the students who want to learn. If the people running these institutions are too gutless to actually run these places properly for fear of being called "racist" they may as well quit and hand the unis over to these ratbags. Let them run these places. Let them create their little safe-space, people-of-colour utopias. See how long they last.

usual question - what do you mean by fascism?

to me Fascism is exactly a specific historical movement, with a specific (yet complex) ideology, different from national socialism (despite evident exchange), with a specific vision of the world and destiny

Donald Trump is not fascist, as Margaret Tatcher, Ronnie reagan, silvio berlusconi, stalin, ted nugent, peter steele, harley flanagan, the conservative party,  etc. were not fascists.

QuoteIn social psychology there is a theory called The Mere-Exposure Effect. Simply put, the more we are exposed to someone, the more attractive they become to us. See?

Yea, I see alright, you stupid, ignorant cunt.
