I'm just listening this strange Japanese project. I don't know where exactly tape has ended up in my collection, but it is:

2nd KOMMUNIKATION "Angel was dead" tape
self control produkt, sc 08
Band has very simply website, where you can only find reference to one tape from '86, and then nothing until vinyl & cd in '89. And they all use c instead the "mandatory K". Front cover of tape is jesus crucified in cross with band name in form of  :SEKOND KOMMUNIKATION:  under it. Tracklisting of tape includes Chronicles of Insanity, Death was Revolved, The Blood of Angel, Darkness without Organ, and so on... At the best, music remind you something what Blood Axis or such could be in their more industrial style. This tape is from 1988, so some of the "organ" / "keyboard" sounds are aged, but in other hand they manage to rise surprisingly enjoyable oppressive mood. With little hints of Laibach, little hints of some... hmm. Ain Soph/Sigillium S/Autopsia and such. At worst band can be retarded baroque "cembalo" keyboard sound melody, but this C-46 tape simply has enough good things going, one can file it under "dark ritual music industrial" collection without hesitation. I was checking out infos of their later works and in discogs it was labeled as EBM. Anyone heard those? I just assume not worth getting?

you shure that it's the same band? 2nd Kommunikation vs 2nd Communication? ....i actually dig this kind of EBM (got all their stuff lol), lots of sampled rattling metal sounds etc....

There's certainly plenty of precedent for this sort of shift. Seems like every other 80's/early 90's goth/industrial act has a demo tape or two's worth of raw-textured ritual shitlust or whatever... a more notable example might be that Printed At Bismark's Death track on Dry Lungs IV. It's like these people enjoy fucking with you.

It's same people. You can see the main man's name in contact address. It just seems like band started few years before they knew exactly what they should be doing. Or got technology what allowed change.

Something like KLINIK, which Great Ecstacy played me sounded like pretty good industrial, while later works just lure into dancefloor. Not me, but goth chicks.
