First official full length album from Vinland Special Services, the patriotic avant-garde noise project of Doug McQuerter from Cedar, MN who runs the strange and controversial Winter Solace label. This tape compiles the 'Vinland Protection Services' and 'People's Radio' tapes with two previously unreleased tracks in advance to the CD version coming out later this year. These recordings are completely on their own in terms of genre-bending originality and remind me of 'Ulysses' and 'Inland Empire', painfully slow and uncomfortable yet deeply fascinating. Over and over again.... try to understand and never get it.
