I had a little trouble convincing a pc friend of mine who is a big Bonzo fan but hadn't seen that vid about what exactly was going on in it. Got the impression he didn't really want to know.
Shikata ga nai.

Arkhe: I can only agree on the italian sex comedy... I know many collectors that are into this stuff (along with italian disco movies and other strange shit), but I never reached that low myself. :)

a friend of mine recommended the danish tv series "Klovn" - at times its very amusing stuff. it's available for download with english subtitles - worth a try if you want politically incorrect comedy.

Aye. "Murder By Death" is one of the funniest films ever made, but I still think that "Blazing Saddles" & "Young Frankenstein" are the best films ever made!

I am old fart who still laughs at "Bilko" & "Morecombe & Wise" when they come on TV

When I was a youth I tried writing comedy sketches and mailed off to the BBC, but never had a reply!

Bob's Burgers

One of my current obsessions. Especially the daughter with glasses.
When she stands still and just says "hhhhhhhh" lamenting herself makes me cry.

One of the nicest disfunctional families of the latest years.

How could I forget Derek & Clive ~ perhaps the funniest material on the planet.

For some reason I could never get the humour in Spinal Tap (although I am a big fan of Christopher Guest films), funny, but not laugh out loud pant wettingly funny and certainly nowhere near as funny as Bad News. That Comic Strip series was excellent - remember Eddie Monsoon? - but I haven't seen it in years, recently watched the first series of Vic Reeves "Big Night Out" on DVD and it just wasn't funny - at all! Sean Lock's "15 Stories High" + John Shuttleworth "500 Bus Stops" are regular watches + still laugh out loud funny.

To classics I am sure people here know ..

BOILS ARE BEAUTIFUL!

Bruce Robinson's

"Withnail & I" (1987)

and

"How to Get Ahead in Advertising" (1989).

Richard E. Grant in great shape! First time I saw Withnail & I was after waking up on a friend's sofa after a huge binge: Totally hung over and with a bad case of jitters. It soothed the experience perfectly.

Another excellent British flick
The boat that rocked, a musical comedy about free radios with an all star cast and some totally classic moments.

The apocaliptic finale is a total classic.

I wonder how many of you know Italy's greatest comedian

I totally agree on that. Great writing.

Mel Brooks - "Blazing Saddles" and "Young Frankenstein" - two of the funniest movies ever. Especially Blazing Saddles. A movie like that could never be made in this ULTRA PC FAGGOTRY, but at least the US had a sense of humor in the 1970s.
