Church of Scientology asks followers to censor Web comments:

I wonder if we made enough comments here, that they would pick up on it?!

The Co$ is so beleaguered and in trouble at the moment that I almost feel sorry for them. Miscavige seems to be a psychopath and the stories that have emerged via Marty Rathbun and others are as bad as the worst things that have come out of eg the Catholic church at its historical lows. I do think there is a danger of high-ranking members doing a collective People's Temple/Solar Lodge/Heaven's Gate in the near future.

I also think LRH's work will survive the current Church and be studied for centuries to come. I would happily fill a thread here with many thoughts on scientology and try to attract the OSA!

Would we or more specifically Mikko want "them" passing through here?

While the publicity they get is often justifiably atrocious, many rank-and-file scientologists are nice well intentioned people. There are a whole lot of behind the scenes power struggles behind the news stories: alphabet agencies and pharmaceutical companies all have their fingers in explosive and big money pies.

I've had dealings with a leading UK scientologist who runs one of their anti-psychiatry front groups, she seemed an entirely reasonable and helpful person. Who does Miscavige have left to do the OSA work anyway? The unfortunate 'Louanne' and hired goons as 'squirrel busters'. The Church is on the way out or at least in the process of a huge crisis and transformation.

Many in depth-articles regarding Scientology in English and Italian:
http://www.cesnur.org/testi/se_scientology.htm

The CESNUR is a Catholic oriented group with quite an open minded attitude. They do not demonise groups, although they have no problem in showing controversies.
One of the researcher was the founder of TOPY Italy (and cult industrial project Rosemary's Baby) then turn tio Christianity.

Recently received an issue of The Auditor that was for a neighbour but delivered to me instead. I took the introduction to Dianetics course years ago so I could get the nifty Dianetics shoe box that the introductory materials came in. Unfortunately I lost the box and it's contents and I'm seriously banned from the Scientology centres here and in Toronto, so they probably have a file on me.

It was strange when I took the course, people who came in randomly off the street for the OCA and the E-meter reading took the course with me and a day or two later were out front in uniform recruiting people.

I used to bring up Naked Scientology all the time and they really did not like that. http://www.apologeticsindex.org/Naked%20Scientology.pdf

Another fun thing I used to do when I was reading Dianetics was call them up and say I'm almost sold, but on this page, L. Ron says that most of the people in prison are there because they received an engram in the womb because their mothers unsuccessfully tried to perform abortions on themselves. Now that there are legal and safe abortions, why has the prison population exploded? They could never answer that.

I recently picked up a copy of Self-Analysis with the word wheel things. I plan on giving it a go soon. I'm also working on a synthesis of Dianetics and Self-Analysis that I call Self-Dialysis(tm).

Belgium To Prosecute Scientology As Criminal Organization; Church Faces Charges Of Extortion, Fraud:

Coming from one of the most infamously corrupt governments in Europe it really is a case of "pot, meet kettle". It's also been a very long time coming - see http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2001/nov/30/andrewosborn - and like the legal troubles of Co$ in Germany, this one will run and run.

The problem with the church of scientology is its controlled by the Hollywood Elite and if you have enough money (a sad fact) you can censor more freely. With money comes power, and since official churches are tax exempt, it's no wonder other clowns like Fred Phelps' cult cannot be labeled as a hate group. Of course no one should but into the lie that hate groups cannot be left-wing instead of far right groups. One of the many reasons I'm not a feminist. At least in this day and age.

For better or worse, I just got in touch with a Free Zone auditor here.

Anti-CoS journalist John Sweeney is in the news for embedded undercover spookery in the DPRK - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/bbc/9992716/BBC-accused-of-putting-students-at-risk-after-journalists-infiltrate-university-trip-to-North-Korea.html

Meanwhile here is a good discussion among Freezoners of Jon Ronson's book - http://markrathbun.wordpress.com/2013/04/12/the-psychopath-test/

Another CCHR person popped up in my inbox recently. Trying to understand all the powerplays around Scientology and all the secrets is like trying to fathom the full worldwide reach of the Vatican.
