got the finnish version from wanhan waltterin antikvariaatti. I didnt have time to browse but looked like the kind of place that would have old eugenics books, medical stuff in stock.

EDIT_____ the texts accompanying the pictures are hotshit.

Curious historical events targeting most of all civilians? Also always remains interesting to view who are the parties involved in most lethal activities and who will apologize and who will not.

Curious detail of Hiroshima bombing is that population of the city believed that due large number of buddhist in city was reason for Hiroshima not being bombed regularly unlike most Japanese cities, but it was later revealed that their city was saved only for scientific purposes: To be able to measure the devastating power of nuclear weapons.

2 best book I read on this subject

NAGASAKI 1945

^Possibly the best book I have ever read.

Dawn over zero: The story of the atomic bomb

^Read this entire text in one sitting while on LSD

This book Rain Of Ruin:A Photographic History Of Hiroshima & Kagasaki is also incredible to see the photographs of the destruction.

When I became informed on this topic my perspective on the world was drastically changed for the worse.

a large portion of the US military's nuclear testing was performed before they technically knew what radiation was
and for the development of more nuclear weapons, the radiation exposure at Bikini Atoll proved to be a blatant disregard for anything The ABCC could have learned and put into practice.

Maybe month ago or something, there was a radioprogram about exact these two things: Hiroshima and Dresden. It was some re-run of decades old program. Too bad I can't remember the name, but could be found in areena or something? Nevertheless, it was very laconic male voice reading perhaps 15 minutes of descriptions of nuclear explosion damages similar to this. Kind of emotionless list of all sorts of peeling off skin, charred remains in gutter, eyes hanging out of sockets etc. Going on and on and on... And being YLE1 / Puheradio, it's not like some youthful gore-fiends would be listening that station (?). In middle of day, such moment probably has awakened plenty of regular folks into "what the fuck?!" -reactions...
When the piece was airing, I thought all you need is some gloomy rugged drone on the back, and you'd have just about the darkest death industrial right there. Even better could be to use that piece as between-the-bands "music" in gigs.

I picked up some standard WWII-books the other day and one of them had a relatively big section of Hiroshima/nagasaki survivors drawings, some I had seen before, some were new or had faded from memory. Some of them are incrtedible and I've always felt more affected by these subjective nightmare visions than by the actual photos of survivors.

after sorting out my books this morning, I came across the book I had about Dresden

with many pictures of the ruins, I don't know how it compares to other books on this theme, but I thought it was worth getting
