ULEX XANE
MICHAEL NINE

the interview wouldn't even have to be about their music, i think personal ideologies & philosophies would be more interesting.

Some interviews I'd like to read are (some obvious choices here, but still) :

Eye/HANATARASH (covering entire history)
Juntaro/THE GEROGERIGEGEGE (but where is he?)
MAURIZIO BIANCHI (covering early recordings)
Mikawa/INCAPACITANTS
David Jackman/ORGANUM
Andy Bolus/EVIL MOISTURE
KK NULL (covering early solo recordings, A.N.P, etc)
Nobuo Yamada
Naohiro Ukawa
Hitomo Arimoto/BEAST 666, 777 was 666
Ron/EMIL BEAULIEAU, RRR
Steve Underwood/HARBINGER SOUND
WHITE HOSPITAL/GRIM/VASILISK
Seconded.
Of the more "current" names, I'd like:
Sick seed
Alfarmania

"behind the curtains" I often communicate with other magazine makers to avoid too much of overlap. I believe some of these wishes listed in the wants will be seen in other noise related magazines pretty soon.

Suggestion can be mailed, don't be annoyed if they won't be commented. It's just editorial policy to not reveal who will and who won't be considered and why. And who's already coming and who's yet to be reaches etc..

Actually, yes, I think a new interview with ULEX XANE would be a good idea. Say in about a year from now, after the CD reissues have had plenty of time to get around and for people to take them in, etc. Plus, he generally always has something interesting to say anyway.

It would be interesting to see how Ulex feels about the attention he has received/will receive as a result of them. Will he finally get the recognition he deserves? Does he even really want it though? Of course plenty of 'us' have known for years how great Streicher is - it's an ultimate cult act and will surely remain so, so does it not matter eitherway? Interest in Streicher has steadily increased ever since the 'War Without End' CD release on Cold Spring in 2002 of course, but I've definitely noticed further interest over these last few years especially too, and so the reissues have come at the perfect time really.

Again, I totally and utterly commend Mikko's insight in reissuing all the Streicher and Goldenrod stuff. Rest assured, if I ran a label and/or had the money, it certainly would've been something I would've looked into doing it myself. It's just a shame I still haven't been able to afford to buy them all yet! Haha.

To say the least, I was initially very surprised by the content of Ulex's entensive myspace profile, and was surprised he was even on anything like myspace in the first place, and it sort of ruined part of the 'mystique' Ulex/Streicher had for me at first, but then the content of course created further mystery that I couldn't help but be intrigued by, and so learning more about the different sides of the man himself via his page has been quite fascinating, and I agree that a new interview should also focus on his personal ideologies & philosophies, etc.

What did everybody think of the Streicher tribute compilation tape 'THE STORMER'? I knew it was never going to be great, but I liked the idea enough to want to hear it and I quite enjoyed it. If you haven't heard it, you can check it out here :

there has been talk about Streicher interview, extensive look into whole project.
But we'll see. It might take time. I know that Ulex wrote pages & pages of text for Zero Tolerance interview, which was in normal style only used as source of taking few quotes. I'm quite sure the long replies he spent time with, shouldn't be wasted. But rather used as base on longer feature. We'll see...

Sometimes too ambitious plans go crashing down. Early enthusiasm is turned into jaded boredom where nothing gets finished. Seen it happen so many times. Of course nothing against putting both things in reality, but now when Streicher is at least in theory back in action, I think book about it is too early.

I'd certainly buy a Streicher book if one is ever published, but I totally see where Mikko is coming from. In the Degenerate interview, I think Ulex said that he didn't receive one single order for the Streicher manifestos collection booklet/book/whatever he'd put together some years ago.

I own some of the original manifestos (and some Thule Society printed stuff too). There're great. I posted this same picture over at CS/Troniks before. When I get a new scanner I've promised to scan and upload them all. Eventually!
