LBP006 INCAPACITANTS - Zashikiwarashi Effect cd
It is just not possible to hate Incapacitants. Some may be indifferent
but it is incomprehensible they would bring up dislike as most artists
do. Their sole raison d'être is noise - pure, loud, rich, and deep
noise. The world around us has changed drastically over the three
decades Incapacitants have been with us. If you follow their tracks,
it is apparent the essence of the band has not changed much, if at
all. However, there are slight refinements, tiny variations of theme,
and tweaked approaches, whatever might serve the noise. It is hard to
pinpoint objective factors that would explain why one record from
their discography makes a stronger impact than another. Thus it is not
surprising that their latest opus "Zashikiwarashi Effect" (Ljud & Bild
Produktion, 2012) feels immediately familiar even though there is
something lurking in the shadows. Convulselectronics spark and
crackle, a welcoming envelope of buzz and sizzle embraces right from
the onset. But isn't there an aura of a senior citizen, that genuine
and unfakeable authority? Purely from a theoretical point
"Zashikiwarashi Effect" appears just as good as any other
Incapacitants release. What's important is that we have a new,
scorching work in our hands that expands the notion of noise.

LBP005 ARV & MILJÖ
Debut album from Arv & Miljö, one of the few remaining acts now when the dust has settled from the closing of Utmarken. Orientering i Denna Värld reconnects with Matthias Andersson's previous cassettes on Posh Isolation and Järtecknet with a minimalistic approach, no-hope-bleakness and short tracks, although this time around he presents a album with a more refined and focused composition and more attention to details. Orientering i Denna Värld is stripped down to its bare minimum, barren textured noise, raw field recordings and loops that molds in to a highly personalised expression of cassette primitivism/barbarism in its most true form.

Still available.

LBP004  MACRONYMPHA  Super Oxide cd
The first cd collection of early era Macronympha featuring seven tracks from 1990-1993. Previously unreleased and limited release recordings are combined to form an album focusing on the raw early 90's material mixing rhythmic looping noise with heavy freeform freakouts for an hour of shifting, layered and dynamic chunks of distortion, metal and feedback. This a necessary addition to any Macronympha collection. Recorded by Rodger Stella and Joe Roemer between 1990-1993 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and compiled by Stella from his original master tapes with the assistance of Dan Johansson. Essential raw early 90's American noise.

LBP003 LETTERA 22   Lack Of Attention cd
46 minutes unique blend of failed electronics, crude tape manipulations, fieldrecordings and feedback from Italy's finest, Matteo Castro & Riccardo Mazza. Closing the album is a 15 minute feedback piece. Airy, delicate and just stunning. Sounds like a drone piece someone dug out from the 60's. Essential.

LBP002  KERÄNEN  Moon Over Torrelorca cd
Cold and glacial drone recorded at the prestigious EMS in Stockholm. 58 minutes of northern iciness. Moon Over Torrelorca, the second album from Keränen, serves as a great follow up to his amazing debut album Bats In Attic that Lasse Marhaug's Pica Disk released last year. In contrast to the high energy multi-layered noise- bomb the debut offered, Moon Over Torrelorca instead showcases a carefully composed drone piece from this highly skilled sound artist. It's cold up north.
