Both acts the night I saw them each put on ruthless sets.  Unless you were somehow behind the amps, you were gonna get hit or shoved.  Vile Gash is still performing with the same energy even though they haven't played much in the past couple of years.

Didn't manage to catch either Cult Ritual or Vile Gash live, but played a show with Cult Ritual side project Neon Blud around that time, and they were great. There were a few interesting projects coming out of Tampa around that time.

I discovered Horrid Cross shortly after that show, I know they're from Florida but not sure if they were a part of those bands from Tampa?

Yeah they are related, the Horrid Cross guy played in Church Whip along with several members of Cult Ritual

Gotcha, I also forgot about Church Whip, another good band.  I've heard of Neon Blud before but I don't think I've ever listened to them.

I have the Whipps 7" which is a repress of their demo. Liked it a lot when it came out. At same time I listened a lot to Diet Cokeheads as well, who did a split 7" with them. Also related is Slavescene, their 7" is great as well.

RE Florida, Corpse Without Soul was a killer label for its brief life.  The Divisions collection kicks ass. I need to listen to Church Whips Psychedelic Nightmare again, the drama around that release was so overbearing i avoided it.

I recently saw it was announced that there's a new label done by Corpse Without Soul \ Irradiated Corpse called Promulgator, with 3 tapes from projects I've never heard of. I imagine it's black metal oriented material from the looks of things. The Church Whip drama was completely over the top. Hard to imagine that people were so torn up over the name of a mini tour that they were slashing tires and vandalizing tour vans over it but then immediately forgot about the entire situation. Certainly didn't affect their popular 4AD project at any point.

For those not following social media announcements, a Forced Expression discography is on the way.  One of those video trailers like FOAD uses.

New Barcelona 7" on LA VIDA ES UN MUS DISCOS is as good as I expected.

And there is a new, great article on Sacrilege (NYC) on Negative Insight.  Hope you're good with names, because it is dense.

Going to crack into the Terveet Kädet boxset today. While they are one of my favorite bands, a 5 LP set has seemed a little daunting. Booklet looks great with lots of photos I had never seen, and I was pleased to to see a full color expanded version of the ass candle photo from Ääretön Joulu 7". Quality stuff.

Pretty tapped-out on keeping up with stuff like this in punk/HC these days, but this is really cool to hear about. One of my all-time favourite groups.

I agree. Box set purchases, for myself, are reserved for all time favorite bands and TK certainly fit that bill. Such a great band on all levels. I picked up the Discharge box set a while back and I have to say I'm much more pleased with the TK one. Apples and oranges maybe, but there do seem to be a lot of 80s punk/HC box sets nowadays. Hard to keep up with/care about all of them.

The 2nd, and unreleased until now, Homomilitia album has been released.  If you liked the Lost album, I feel this is the missing piece.
