While I enjoyed that new GASP material, I don't feel it has anything to do with hardcore.  Doesn't matter to me, but people should probably know before they go into it.

I've heard mutterings that people were finding this new stuff kind of a letdown, I would be more let down if they started doing exactly the same thing as before just in 2018. I really liked this CD a lot.... it's exactly the kind of thing I was hoping for from them.

Down a big Death (band) and Swedish death metal rabbit hole...

Skitsystem 1st 7", 10", and 1st album.  The sound and energy on that 1st 7" is so huge.

Capitalist Casualties -  A Collection Of Out-Of-Print Singles, Split EP's And Compilation Tracks.  Best band.  Sad days.

Having a strong nostalgic kick lately. This recording of Forming is addictive:

Was wondering if anyone could recommend some music similar to this track. The first band that came to mind is Raspberry Bulbs but I have listened to them over and over - looking for other artists that may have been glossed over by most. Thanks in advance.

Also very into the japanese stuff from the 80's like Confuse and Gess if anyone has other rec's in that department. Cheers

If we're talking 80's in particular, check out Gai, Kuro, No Cut, Tranquilizer, Gudon's flexi, State Children,  Coward, Z...

Sarcastic - Corps in Decomposition 1993 - I thought I might be running into something I could love and be as fascinated with as Confusion "Hopeless", but nope - wasn't feeling this one (today).

Professor - Academizer 1993 - I didn't think much of this back then, but today, I was WAY into it; finding it funny that someone re-released it on 3"CD in 2003 as is, with no bonus tracks of any sort.  Anyone know the story on this one-off group?  Were they in other bands and just wanted to do some grindcore falling apart at the seams that is simultaneously adept (quite a feat to make it feel like both).  I believe Neil Nordstrom of MRR fame played this one up real big at the time.

Just picked up a seriously great LP by PADAROSDA from Budapest, album is called Tetova Lelkek on Static Age. Raw punk meeting early Killing Joke with maybe some Kaaos/Riistetyt influences thrown in.

Also just getting on board with Lebenden Totens work and fuck me for missing out, this band is hella tight.

NaturalOrthodoxy

On a huge Integrity kick for the first time in a while. One of my favourite bands, and Dwid is an incredibly interesting character.

This is one of their least "hardcore" tracks, but the solos are incredible, so GISM and NWOBHM influence!

Seeing some Japanese classics being discussed has got me wanting to plug a few of my old bands here. Production quality should appeal to posters here if nothing else.

Greek punk...

ΑΠΝΟΙΑ - Θρίαμβος του Μίσους 2018
ΑΠΝΟΙΑ - Ωδή στο Χάος 2016

Both albums are really good.  I'm impressed.  Haven't checked out their other stuff yet. It's all on bandcamp. The opening track on Ωδή στο Χάος, at 1:45, sounds like something Cro-Mags or Leeway would write. Crush the Demoniac breakdown? Could just be the thrashy and metallic vibe and tone. Gave me deja vu.  Sort of crusty.  Sort of heavy.  Definitely not straight-forward HC or punk.  Lots of elements here with quality execution.
