At All Cost - demos 1988 and 1990 - new to me, fun, really good HC with elements of Ludichrist and Straight Ahead in the vocals - one more instance of something new/old providing loads of satisfaction - both available for free from their bandcamp.

It's been a hot minute since I've been in the mood for Japanese hardcore, and I mean years.  I've been on a GISM/Gai/Disclose/Framtid/Kuro/Gauze bender the last few days.

Also been totally revisiting Hellbastard "Ripper Crust" and the MASSKONTROLL discography who are my all time favorite crust band from the 90s.

When mentioning Atrocious Madness, how about Lebenden Toten? Japanese-influenced noisy hardcore punk. I used to listen to them a lot. They're playing soon in Europe and I'm planning to see them in Copenhagen.

yesterday Negazione singer Zazzo visited local underground shop in Como to present the massive NEGAZIONE Boxset : la nostra vita.

as already discussed, we had several cult bands in the first wave of Italian HC (raw power, nabat, indigesti, wretched, crash box, etc.) , BUT Negazione can definitely be considered the biggest cult. each song was a hit and lyrics were already ahead of their time.

meeting was cool and it was an excellent way to hook up with several hc veterans I have been knowing for the past 30 years

Them first two Negazione EP's are way out there. Rabid and strange.

a few good quality videos from the hate5six youtube channel.  Professional video with often soundboard audio.  Anyone know them?  What's their deal?

Found this to be a real fun listen.  LP version is coming soon.

Holy Money's The Language Machine is a sonically and conceptually heavy monolith that defies the "sludge" and "stoner" monikers lazily attached to most slow, metallic bands. Realistically, Holy Money play death metal , but with rhythmic and hypnotic songwriting that borders on psychedelia instead of violence, gore, or aggression. To be sure, this album is brutal – but more like a J.G. Ballard novel than a Bolt Thrower record.

Strongly recommended for enthusiasts of Corrupted, Bastard Noise, and DMT.
