Hierophant's new album "Mass Grave" came out yesterday or today

I think it's a a lot better than "Peste" which came out like 2 years ago.
Definitely some of the best stuff coming out of Italy.

And i recommend every one of you to listen to the Grabbies' live record. Craziest punk record ever, and best live with The Stooges "Metallic KO"

I know.  The Cro-Mags aren't the Cro-Mags without Harley.  Or they're not the Cro-Mags without Parris.  Or they're not the Cro-Mags without JJ.  Or the time and place is long gone all together.  I understand all that, and I wouldn't argue with any of those positions.  However, 2016 Cro-Mags has Mackie and AJ Novello (Leeway).  Mackie (Cro-Mags, Bad Brains, etc) is one of my favorite HC drummers, and AJ is one of my favorite HC guitarists.  Craig Setari as a classic player on bass, too.  Causes me to continue to be curious. (Harley's 2016 album isn't too bad, either).  Pro-shot with soundboard audio.

also been listening to...
-Ludichrist demos and live Off the Board CBGB's (great live recording)
-Crumbsuckers demos
-new DxRxIx EP, which isn't as bad as you'd expect; somewhere in that era of sound between 4 of a Kind and Thrash Zone; remaking two of their best songs wasn't the best of ideas, though.
-The Exploited '82-'86 albums
-Nailed Down - Australian HC that became the great Extortion.

Been jamming "Justice Replaced By Revenge" by Ringworm a ton lately. Really tight record, a lot different than "The Promise" but really great riffs, production, songwriting. That was the last one I have listened to, I see they've put 4 or 5 new albums out since then and are now on Relapse, are any of the later ones even remotely worth my time?

Seeing them live at the last show of The Swarm was incredible. They just totally nailed it at that show.

I seem to come around to this Swede/Finn HC binge every few months ago - this time it's Asocial (just shelled out to replace my worn out bootlegs with the FOAD discography) Anti-Cimex/Riistetyt/Protes Bengt/Kaaos/Crude SS/Crudity/Rattus/Shitlickers.... still looking for a decent Disarm reissue.....

I always default to Rajoitus "Hardcore Attack 1995" as well as that was one of those records that just came along at the right time as a teenager to really cement my love for this kind of stuff.....

I bought this double 7" compilation called Let's Start a Riot.... In Sweden II that is an almost perfect sampler of that scene.....

Winter is here?  Something in the air?  I was considering making a Top 25 Swedish HC Records of the 90s list.  I started compiling a list of groups yesterday.  Did a little listening as well.  Skitsystem 7" (one of my favorite HC EPs of all time) & 10", Bombraid 7"/3"CD, and Loud Pipes EP and LP.  I probably won't go through with it because of the huge amount of listening involved with doing it right, but that's the music I'm craving right now.

Skitsystem... yes!

New mini-album 'Kuka Hyötyy' by Perikato sounds a real blast. Reminds me of something like Kansan Uutiset, early Äpärät, Sekunda & bits of early Napalm Death mixed together. Fans of furious Finnish hardcore take notice.
