on another dimension an excellent band we all used to love here in Italy were SNFU... the gig i saw was definitely wild.

SNFU are on my top five of all time list. Consistently some of the best live shows I've ever seen. If you get a chance, watch the documentary "Open Your Mouth and Say Mr. Chi Pig". Unlike a lot of punk documentaries full of filler material and bad graphics which have been released in the past decade, this is 97 minutes of interviews. Depressing but good.

SNFU used to play in my hometown bi-weekly for a while. Well, sometimes Chi Pig wasn't there and they were called the Wheat Chiefs I think, which wasn't very interesting as I foggily recall. I never got into any of their records but their live performances, or Chi Pig's live performances, were pretty intense. I think I liked some songs on Scream and You Will Catch No Fish but I can't for the life of me remember.

I think Reprobate mentioned previously but Tragedy and His Hero is Gone are great. Also Iron Lung who started out as powerviolence, but now are more hardcore than pv. Very punishing stuff.

Agreed.

Martyrdod have a touch of HHIG to them, very good stuff. Punk/core/crust that sounds like or evokes an idea of being on the brink of death or at world's end is good by me.

Seems like someone uploaded one song of new Vapaudenristi demo. It's my punk band (4 demos since 2007). Very rarely I "promote" it anywhere, especially since its all Finnish language. Perhaps the most melodic track of the new demo. File under "cocksparrer/mistreat/unborn sf/etc" (from demo 2012 even if they used old artwork)

seems like cover songs always remain the most popular tracks in youtube, much more than original material.

Shame that no one has uploaded The Strawbs cover with lyrics changed and translated to finnish from the new demo. It's great and quite amusing at the same like most rough rac ballads.
Maybe some Industrial-people would like hear it too since Blood Axis covered the same song.

E: Decided to upload it myself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qstRBGa5PQ&feature=youtu.be

Iron Lung is amazing. When I saw them live the drummer was molesting his drum kit so hard that he threw up chucks of Chinese food. The Endless Blockade was also a great band indeed. For the ones interested; all the members did also perform in Death Agonies. Don't like it that much, but maybe that's because I've only got some shitty mp3 rips. Talking about endless blockades an death agonies; the noise tracks on M.A.N. by G.I.S.M. are so good, got me into noise together with MITB/BN.

I play in a hardcore band called Chest Pain. We are usually compared to bands like Iron Lung, Crossed Out and Lack of Interest. You can listen to our 7" at http://www.chestpain.bandcamp.com . We are about to go on a west coast tour in June and will be playing with bands like Negative Approach, Iron Lung, Gehenna, Suffering Luna and a bunch more. Some of our newer songs have some leanings towards noise/industrial music, but we haven't recorded them yet except for a live radio recording. If you're interested in hearing our live radio recording I would be happy to send that to you. Let me know what think about our 7". Also you can watch a couple of live sets here:

With as many people on this board that Like metal, I am surprised the early Metalcore stuff isn't represented here. "metal core" in it's earliest form was huge in the northeast in the 90's. Of course I don't mean Metal core in the "mainstream" use of the word, but the hardcore movement in the early 90's that was more influenced by the then current hardcore, and not punk, and infused this with metal.

Most of the stuff like this is downright awful.  Sure, you can say that about most musics, but this sub-genre of hardcore or metal, depending on your perspective, has a particularly high rate of suckibility.  And when it sucks, which is almost all the time, it sucks more than the normal level of suck.  It sucks at an extraordinary level.
