New Gasp CD arrived yesterday, holy fuck it's so cool. Hopefully an album this year?

Still one of the most exciting bands in that whole scene.

I have to disagree.. lots of great bands/releases.. Veins, The Oath, Salvation, Failures, Cult Ritual, Hoax, Raw Nerve, Suburbanite, The Ropes, Civilized, La Piovra..

I don't like any of them besides La Piovra (and L'Amico Di Martucci too) and I mean, where are those bands today or what influence did they leave? Most of them were only of interest for kids who thought buying an overpriced SQRM trashbag was cool and catered to them.

I love hardcore but I can't get into any of that.

My Friend Jeroen, who played for a couple of those bands (Veins, The Oath, Failures) has been an active member of the scene since the late 80s / early 90s. Not so much these days but still likes the old classics..Don't know where the others are and i don't really care. All my favorite hardcore bands recorded 1 or 2 good 7"s and then disappeared or moved on.

That was the show! I played in a grindcore band called Cornucopia. We played in that school more than once i think, don't recall if we played that show, nonetheless killer evening.

I love listening to Punk and hardcore music of the 90's. Music of the past makes you alive unlike the music today, it sucks..

Word! Totally unique band and I love all eras.

I've been listening to a lot of Anti-Cimex, Disclose and and this newer Boston band called Sadist lately. Very fitting music for wet drearyness of early spring. The Anti-Cimex demos really are genious. Heavy, fast and tense but with that strange sinister rock 'n' roll vibe.
