Just got turned on to this INCREDIBLE Spanish band called Barcelona - wonderful mix of United Mutation, Italian hardcore and general fucking out there weirdness. Artwork is top notch. LOVING this band. I have the new LP that is even more raw and blown out.

Caught them at NDY two years ago. The set was OK but the vocalist was killer.

excellent reminds me a lot of an old school Italian hc band named Chain reaction. check their 7" Gabbie. It was suggested to me by Porcell in the late 80s and became one of my absolute cults.

That Chain Reaction 7" is great. Found a copy a while ago.

Some of the nastiest, fuzzed-out punk  ever recorded!

Impossible to find classic. But there's also a reissue from a few years back..

getting a Mighty Sphincter vibe off that.  spooky.  gothy.  deathcore, or whatever that's called.

Great, regardless.

If we're talking spooky punk that isn't for teenage emos, then look no further than Cape Ov Bats https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INjW66M4sqg

From Philadelphia by way of ROI I believe. Awesome raw punk heavily influenced by G.I.S.M. and LLN bands. The band shares members with Devil Master (black/heavy metal) and Blank Spell (United Mutation-I guess- style hardcore) who are all worth checking out.

Vile Gash full-length that is just over 10 minutes long:

Feels longer while listening. Much prefer the vocals in VG over a lot of the other similar bands..

I tend to stay away from YA bands the last couple of years - not sure why. But this sounds really good!

Was listening to the new Extended Hell 7" yesterday - good stuff!

Awesome. The whole new YA drop is cool, always dug that label. The artwork for that Surburbanite LP looks like something from a recent Ministry album or something, tasteless but I love it (Surburbanite, NOT Ministry...)

I have 2 VG 7"s. Didn't know they were still around. Great band..

Well, what I know is that one member of VG knows Mark McCoy since his Charles Bronson days, probably even before YA existed. I feel like most YA bands' members weren't even born before YA's inception. The last YA band I listened to besides VG is probably Bucket Full Of Teeth. I hate this label and its records that all sound like shit.
