A couple of assholes in CT shot & killed 18 elementary kids plus 9 adults in a  school. I'm starting to think that America needs to become an actual police state. Everyone needs to be tracked & finger-printed. Schools locked down like prisons. No one should be able to own anything sharp, blunt, heavy, or fires a bullet, a bb, or a paintball. Freedom is just too much responsibility for some people to handle.

I wish that at least people should have to work here instead of sitting on their asses, getting allowances and popping out children one by one. But I guess that would be violating their human rights etc. etc.

Reports now say the 24-yea r old shooter killed his mother who taught at the elementary school he killed everyone at.  Two handguns used (a Glock & Sig Sauer) with a Bushmaster AR-15 in his car. Not sure if it's been reported if he shot himself or the police put him down.

Mass shooters use to be much older than they are now. Bunch of fucking dramaqueens in their early 20s. I think I've covered this before...

In similar news 22 kids were knifed at school in Henan, China.

when it comes to china, the ratio should be equivalent to the number of people living there

I totally agree that nobody who posts on this forum should have kids.

Except me, obviously.

Normally when these periodic mass shootings happen, it doesn't hit me on an emotional level. I'm detached from it because it's just something I'm reading about on a screen. This one is different. There's still the detachment from it, but this one gives me a queasy feeling in the pit of my stomach. A massacre of little kids at an elementary school? Not only are a bunch of innocent little kids dead, there's a greater amount of them who are now left to live the rest of their lives with a mental scar that may never fully heal. This was truly a sick, evil, perverse act.

Gee, I wonder if this Lanza guy had been a kid with "behavioral problems" while growing up, so he's been pumped full of medications his whole life? I would not be surprised at all if that were true, and that should really be the issue here in terms of national/global debate. Instead, it will get overshadowed by yet more gun control debate.

I've never been a supporter of more gun control because if you make them illegal then only the criminals will have them because they don't give a shit if they're breaking the law to obtain them. I'm also a hunter, so I use a shotgun and a rifle. This event gives me pause, though...maybe there does need to be greater control. Guns are just too great a responsibility to be available to the masses.

Also, gotta love the conspiracy folk who come out of the woodwork when stuff like this happens. Some people really think that this is some kind of Manchurian candidate false-flag operation carried out by the CIA.

Reports are the shooter was autistic &, of course, intelligent. I think this is the first time I've ever heard anything about an autistic person being violent.

More gun laws will not stop mass shooters unless there's a way to make MOST guns just vanish into thin air. I saw on the MSNBC newscrawl that 4 people in Denver were doused with lighter fluid & set on fire...

Lots of talk about more background checks (closing the so-called 'gun show loophole') & another 'assault weapons' ban. Neither of which will make much difference. Face it, Local/State/& especially the Federal Government do piss poor jobs at stopping ANYTHING before it happens & a few new laws added to the already thousands of laws on the books, will not make anyone safer.

Holy shit, check this out:

Worst mass murder in US history! I've never heard of it. I like the detail about loading his car with rusted farm machinery for shrapnel. Fucking lunatic was determined to slaughter as many as possible.

If you hate reading, listen to a song about the school bombing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bh2D1LqcHv0

Agreed, and to me it's the centre of the business. He targeted kids. The babble will go on about guns and the individual's sanity and all the rest of it but in this person's concious mind he decided to kill children. Like those dung in Russia who shot up a school a couple of years ago and that slime who cut up a bunch of kids with a knife just recently in China. That's a line I hate seeing crossed.

The Bath School Disaster has'em all beat! I can't get over how much he put into just killing EVERYONE over higher taxes. 500#'s of unexploded dynamite in the school's basement plus all the metal crap he loaded into his Model T then drove up to the crowd that had gathered to help then set it all off with a rifle.
