The New Blockaders

Simphonie In X Major. Originally issued on LP in 1991.

20th. antiversary edition now available on cassette (pro-duplicated, pro-printed, on-body print.)

Edition: 200.

'Simphonie In X Major uses a sarcastic Dadaist title to conceal a work of sheer genius filth-noise concoctions. A full panoply of wild sounds: junkyard percussion, racing cars and industrial power tools, all providing a sense of unstoppable forward motion. This simphonie is a continual charge forward into the very maw of death.' The Sound Projector

'One of the most important recordings in the modern Noise canon, by one of the most consistently impressive acts in Noise. Junk noise at its finest.' Newness Begins Here

'These guys certainly make a hell of a racket!... Makes Whitehouse sound like minimal art!' Audion

'TNB are in a world of their own and always have been. No track listing, just a symphony of pain. Ripped out of the grooves and positively bleeding out of the speakers this simphonie takes Stockhausen's baby and abuses it cruelly. Sound that has pain scratched into its flesh with nails.' Music From The Empty Quarter

'The first movement drags across the pavement rusted out Mopar mufflers stuffed with windchimes and decorative cutlery as the driver hoots through a bout of ungodly gastric distress. Vacuum-cleaning and beautiful backward heave and scrape signal the transition into the second movement, which emphasises burning, friction, large drums carving continuous divots into asphalt, pushy engine rev, mic frying, harmonic challenges, and metal clang with hiccups.'
