Nice, man.

What sorta equipment are you using?

I figured I may as well try recording some of the shit I come up with when intoxicated but everything seems to end up sounding so muffled and dead i.e. https://resection.bandcamp.com/track/i-4

I mostly make black/death metal songs and have a reasonable idea of what I'm doing 'production' wise there but with this I'm fucking clueless, haha.

Thanks for listening. That stuff was recorded onto a tascam porta ii although i normally use a 424 for cassette. I used old cassette tapes and sound bites i made, electric guitar, contact mics on all sorts of things, a mesa nomad 55, and things always running through different effects pedals.
I actually enjoyed your "resection" track. Listened to it while driving and it has a dark, ambient drone quality that i enjoy. What equipment are you using?

Nice. I don't have too much physical gear, really. I have a Kemper and a couple of pedals for guitar but asides that I've just got an Alesis SR 18, a Streichfett synth and this circuit bent/modded/whatevered Casio. Spent a while today coming up with some tracks based around samples from sci fi films. You got any suggestions for good software/hardware when it comes to time stretching?

Paulstretch plug-in with Audacity is free and is as good as anything else I have used.

Cheers man, will give it a try later. Looks massively better than what I've been doing in Cubase.
