in local pub.
caught local fly in empty glass.
turned glass upside down.
allowed it a pool of beer and O2.
It showed real signs of intoxication-choosing to lie in its back to 'fly',
fall off it's legs onto it's back., repeatedly.
later, fly was unable to fly, was 'happier' on it's back again,, esp following wing drying behaviours.
fly loved skin contact, but soon flailed without.
walked about but could not fly.

gone now.

plum mild still on.
relaxing enough to unwind from work with six or so and still be ok for the battle tomorrow without the hangover of stronger beers.

on a drunk.
initially had to make do with bottled favourite.
half way through it came on line.
the difference was striking and to the better.
second half of drunk much more mellow

there is an old english phrase, to be one over the eight, meaning to be drunk.
this originates from a time when water was less safe to drink than beer, fermentation being away to make water purer.
in those days, children could have 3 pints a day, women 5, and men 8, before being considered drunk
i am now on my ninth pint, so, officially drunk.

as you drink the beer into oblivion, hopefully you will be able to ponder the fate of the same named penguin-and laugh

after a day in london, i ended up in the cask, a specialist pub in a drab area.
beer was stupifyingly good, if expensive.
saw what what, to me was the most expensive beer ever, a bottle of special stout going for £105.
feel glad to have got a (bad) photo of this-the fridge it was in was locked.

cantle

Club Tropicana, IPA with Pineapple. 5.5% Very sharp very nice though

moozz

Firestone Walker Parabola 14.5%
Fantastic imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels. It definitely does not taste as strong in alcohol as it is. Superb brewmanship.
