Freak Animal has decided to continue it's path to go against the current
of many irrelevant and microscopic releases. With aim of doing such a
essential releases, they should be available and also properly presented
as albums when possible. Two new releases follow this idea of publishing
material at the same time on LP/CD format whenever possible. Material
being similar in both versions, giving people option to choose what format
they prefer instead of settling for compromise.

Shift at his most aggressive here. Monolith track from harsh crackling
industrial noise with aggressive voice to thick and heavy droning sounds
with subtle spoken word sampling. Sick Seed presents 3 tracks of caveman
power electronics. Ugly, fierce and nasty stuff. Packaged in jewelbox with

CD and 7" postage is merely 2 euro anywhere in the world, priority
airmail. LP postage is higher and depending on size of order and shipping

Sickness / John Wiese 7" that was meant to come at the same time with
these vinyl, is delayed another 2 weeks, but test pressings has been
approved and extremely intense harsh noise collaboration is soon ready to
destroy ears!

This arrived yesterday. Was little delay with getting the sound right, but it sounds phenomenal in my ears:

*SICKNESS / JOHN WIESE "amnesia" 7" (7.00,-) NEW
When I first got copy of debut 7" of John Wiese in 1998, I couldn´t predict that close to 15 years later, his 99th 7" vinyl release will be released by Freak Animal. For Sickness, this is his first 7". What we have here, is 4 tracks of high energy, extremely vivid and frantic harsh noise. At the best possible tradition of these two masterminds. Compositions are razor sharp and to the point. Good sound at 45rpm ep, and it has still decent playing time of c. 10 minutes. They really compressed album worth of substance into this small piece of vinyl, offering more in 10 minutes than many artists during their entire career. Essential for anyone into dynamic harsh noise! Freak Animal Records.

I was wondering if that Shift/Sick Seed split contains the material that Pekka said would be on an upcoming Sick Seed piece titled Orifice Interface (this was stated roughly 6 months ago when he did an interview with Exoteric, and also mentioned this in the F&V interview that was part of a newsletter some time ago), if not is it still in the works and does anyone know when it might come out?

Sick Seed tracks on the split were done specifically for that release.

Orifice Interface is in the works and will be out when it's ready. It'll take time, though. Expect some smaller releases before that.
