Let's Make a Topic on the Netherlands noise collective FCKNG BSTRDS. They were active in the European noise scene in the early -00 years, and I believe they have since then been disbanded, but dischogs says that they have released some record in the year 2020 so who knows. mostly they have been known for their absolutely naive and riddiculous live shows, which feature DIY-instruments, costumes made out of trash, and just all around chaos. The ideology behind the project is that everything is so conformity driven, that society need some fucking trash and chaos to know whats it all about, pure noise madness and anarchy!

I just got my hands on their NOISE TRASH DVD-r, which i'm going to upload to youtube at some point, since i believe that the DVD is not in circulation on the web. Here are some clips of the band going at it:

I'm more familiar with Odal, but anyway. I believe it takes a kind of discipline to be this chaotic. To get together in some regular way to create what they do. There's a dedication to it. I'm respectful of bands that get together more than one person to carry on that way, especially over a long term. Fckng Bstrds strike me as a Noise version of Gwar, which is a positive thing.

Witnessed a few gigs+Odal solo gig in the late00s. I personally had not seen such "out there" performance noise before and it made some impression. To me it seemed it took more effort than most of the bands/projects that played those squat noise nights, gathering all that shit together and making sort of a theatrical stage of it, even if was mostly trash piled around. Also it sounded massive to me back then, like they really knew what they were doing. All the time looking like it would fall apart then going to the next level of intensity. Same night as one of the show, Odal was playing, naked and being as offensive as possible on stage while having piercing feedback. While off stage he was the most gentile guy and told lots of great stories to "new kid" like myself.

Saw them a lot of times with various line-ups. The early shows, where everybody was invited to join, they were nice but all over the place, without a sense of direction. After a while they got a more or less steady line-up and developed their own style, sound wise and performance wise. For years every show I saw was 100% killer trash-noise perfection. After the 2 core members (Odal and Truck van Rental) left they continued I guess but I never saw them perform since. They made a lot of tapes and cdr's, mostly in small quantities so hard to find nowadays and just a few are listed on Discogs. The ones that are listed usually sell for very low prices so it's easy to get some of their stuff if you want. A standout release for me is the 2nd LP, Slampampers. I also remember liking the Sylvester Im Knieschussclub cdr but can't find it anywhere and haven't heard it for a long time.

Seen them + solo members quite a few times, always highly entertaining.

They are the greatest at transforming any venue into a trash noise dimension. We had Kutwyv play at the Noise Shed a few years back, she got off the plane from Amsterdam and by the time she got to Brixton she somehow had collected an incredible array of junk to build a whole noise sculpture and costume:

Also they are masters at somehow keeping barely-together gear setups actually making noise while everything gets thrown around the room
