Perhaps much more annoying element what would be that way "extreme scenes" of today exists, not only people would adjust the art as cleaner and nicer, but the other way round. As certainly, doing songs about aids infected nigger whore, can get you rejected by some label, but signed by other label really fast. hah...   So I do not know if the latter is any better, as it seems that within PE there are certain amount of extremes simply because "there is supposed to be" and artist back peddle as soon as they are asked about it? Extreme themes certainly are not problem of getting released. Just matter of finding publisher.

Agree. It doesn't cost many pennies to make an edition of your cassette or CD these days. So starting micro-labels is hardly a problem in the West.

Something that is perhaps even more of a cliché than "power electronics" in itself is the possibility of individuals using terms/definitions like "ritualistic" or "magical" concerning their music. Or bands that use a theme that alludes to tantra and other religious schools without even being initiated by an Eastern guru/initiator. From credible first-hand sources, practitioners actually tend to look down on that sort of musical activity (bad karma) in general, especially from the West and see it as disreputable. None mentioned - none forgotten.
