It is possible that list of content will be smaller on bottom of the cover. It was one of the original thoughts about lay-out. Idea has been that mag will be bought by people who don't know what it is. At live shows, in stores, etc. If it was mailorder only, advertised online, it wouldn't really need to advertise the content. Now if someone sees it at live show without knowing what it is, possibly some of the names rings a bell which makes it interesting enough to purhase. And without the texts, it could be basically.. anything.

It is possible I will some day proceed and do that ART OF NOISE book with visual arts of noise makers (which I talked to many over the years), b/W or color, but we'll see. It would be more "legit" format for presenting visual art. In cover of magazine it is basically subject to restrictions of cover of magazine.

I think that strom.ec cover is pretty old painting? Recall seeing in many years ago in exhibition.
You are right. I saw it in Siikala's exhibition in Turku and year was maybe 2003/4 (there was Masonna as background noise). I loved that painting in the first sight and later I was lucky to get it bought. And it also was great for the cover.
Because it's in my nature!
