One of the best PE tracks of the year! I'm glad I got that CDr.

Oh my...fantastic find.
The glory of Mikawa's set shines through here...Masonna comes off a bit funny and flat to be honest, but I bet it killed in person.  Pain Jerk looking as studied and technical as when I saw him in London in Feb (he was dressed like a rapper btw).  Really struggle with Solmania in general and this kinda bored me here.  Yep, smashing a custom guitar, ok. Again though, bet if this was in person and not suffering from shit sounds of the guitar bumping off the venue floor in the video camera it'd probably be good. Gonna revisit the rest NOW.

Any plans to release something in this vein?

Watched it several times now and I really enjoy it!

Most definitely. I'm going to make studio versions of those tracks at some point.

SOK are one of the great UK projects that has sadly gone MIA. I hope he returns one day.

Watching those Soft Option Killing vids (which were great - and a first listen for me) gave this Murderous Vision video as a recommended watch:

I thought, musically, it was a perfect accompaniment to the archival footage --- Gulf War era US military, etc. Much better than most PE and/or Fernow's that might wish to utilize such stuff and fetishize it. A mournful sound to the view of man's insanity. Gotta get some Petrus tapes I have set aside a listen for the first time in a while.

That's very good! I think MV is one of the more overlooked US industrial projects. At least over here in Europe.

Thanx for the share. This was a great discovery for me. Truly unique sounds and atmospheres. Will check out further works.

Seeing The Haters Live DVD mentioned in the New Releases forum got me watching Haters/GX J-L videos on YouTube.

This CPI fellah made a piece called "Shredding (for GX Jupitter-Larsen)":

Probably the most cathartic thing I've ever watched. So much suspense while you wait for the jaws to grab some massive slab of trash and then... perfection.

Here's an outtake from a recent PURGIST performance.
I reckon it doesn't exactly fit the aesthetic preferences of this particular message board but still.
Cut-up harsh noise, processed field recordings, atmospherics, glitchcore.
