It is finally time to unleash the new batch, after a forced delay – this time it was not entirely my fault, blame it on the freeze-frame dystopia outside.
I recommend you to use registered shipment during this period. Things have been operating more or less regularly, but I believe it should be more reliable that way. If there is some problem regarding your specific location and you need to make an order anyway, just get in touch and I can put it aside for you or we can think of any other solution.
Distros are welcome to get in touch for wholesale prices, we can certainly arrange good deals when ordering bigger quantities - don´t refrain from asking. Selected trades are possible, but I may refuse due to personal or financial reasons.
I cannot do any trades/wholesale on the Dave Gilden boxset though, only direct orders on that one. Dead Mind is sold out from it but if it is easier for you, there should be copies available from SKELETON DUST (US), FUSETRON (US), TORDON LJUD (UK), OMEGA POINT (Japan) and ART INTO LIFE (Japan).

narco048 – CANNIBAL RITUAL "RITUAL RAPTURE" C40After a period of inactivity that started in 2013 and led to a much welcome return in 2018, Cannibal Ritual proceeds with its uncompromising grimness, delivering yet another release featuring its trademark crude and dense blocks of static: one that is vigorous and pouring, a massive roar from the entrails of absolute darkness, and another that is arid and worn out, emphasizing a hypnotic rarefaction that is less common throughout the project´s discography.

Toepfer has switched its approach to a conceptually denser yet equally satisfying array of sonic experiments inspired by Glitch Art, importing the rhythms, patterns and cycles of graphic abstraction – that he uses on the visuals on his own Lead Lozenges label as well as on self-released zines – unto the sound field.
Unpolished but intricate, this is a more intellectualized but not a sterile exercise. It provides rewarding audial results by exploring the complexity of communication when its tools and devices are reconfigured, obstructing the perception and, as so, dealing with the unpredictable responses of the systems to this internal disorder.
Largely overlooked, and one of the finest most consistently personal research around sound in its multiple ramifications, K.M. Toepfer is one of the most daring explorers in current worldwide underground and "Interrupt" is no exception to that demanding path.

narco075 – ZONA INDUSTRIALE "NEUTRO" C40Born in Cosenza, in 1983, Zona Industriale was one of the italian Industrial pioneers, even though it has kept vastly neglected with the exception of a few devoted followers. Originally released by ADN in 1985, and later reissued by Slaughter Productions in 1996, "Neutro" is arguably the pinnacle of its discography, an unclassifiable and primitive merge of field recordings, broken rhythms drenched in distant echoes, industrial wasteland reverberation and cryptic references.
Milestone of an era, representative of an embryonic aesthetics that surpassed obsessive subgenre partition in favor of the pure creative freedom only material limitation can generate, "Neutro" is a historical document that Narcolepsia is extremely proud to unearth once again for new listeners to discover and older ones to revisit.

Being an essential name from the japanese noise underworld, active since the early 80´s, and with a body of work that speaks for itself (as K2 and with his legendary Kinky Music Institute label), it is a great thrill to see that he is still very much active and dedicated to his craft, not relying exclusively on past efforts for a comfortable stagnation.
Dealing with the topics of psychic control, social contagion and electronic paranoia, this 3xCS set is as uneasy as monumental, a multitude of emissions from unknown locations straight to the brain. Neurotic and exhaustive, with a hazy sci-fi vibe permeating all material included therein, this is a lucid testimony of present days.

These recordings, as well as pretty much everything the project and label have offered so far, bring back a certain abrasive rawness and menacing atmosphere that we could hear coming from Gothenburg, about a decade ago, and that is surely missed. "Quark" appears to be, in a certain way, the logical conclusion to this path, as its most accomplished effort, judging by the artist´s own words.
As with previous material, it masterfully combines detailed sophistication and brute force, all the elements that make Harsh Noise such a vividly intense and celebratory experience of sheer primal energy: layer upon layer of rust, unidentifiable fragments crashing against each other in a violent whirlwind, motor engines failing to reignite after a frontal crash, a 5th generation bootleg of a bomb raid, fast-forward coagulation, the deafening sounds of mangled implosion.

In this collaboration tape with Abisyeikah, both creative identities are combined, even though the release itself is clearly divided in two: while side A features a massive block of foggy electronics, side B summons a frantic and cartoonish cut-up nightmare.
Released in conspiracy with Nostromo1999 and featuring the very distinctive geometric xerox artwork of the label´s main man A. Trindade.

Besides his violent and vile sounds, he was also known for his wild live shows and excessive drug abuse, all of which contributed to the legendary aura around him, until he sadly died on April 6th, 2008.
The tracks on this 3xCS set are taken from four masters that were sent to New Noise Records back in 1997, which were shelved and never used until now. One master was labelled 'Narcotic', the others simply had 'Various Noise Works' written on them, as an indication of what to expect. These labels were all David left us to hold onto in an otherwise anonymous and chaotic heap of top-quality Harsh Noise. In collaboration with New Noise, 19 untitled tracks were edited into this release, hopefully serving as a testimony of the greatness and authenticity of Gilden´s craft.

narco095 – CHAZEV "KATATONIA" CDObscure solo venture of Heinz Christian Wilp (founder of Der Schwarze Kanal, as well as ZU guitarrist and occasional member, as percussionist, of Das Synthetische Mischgewebe), which was active from 1984 to 1987.
"Katatonia", originally put out by italian cult label ADN (as the Zona Industriale reissue in this batch), is probably the release most people associate with the project, and an absolutely essential document of 80´s tape culture that Narcolepsia is very proud to unearth in this new format.
Enshrouded in the thick darkness of the postmortem era, this is a classic that contains every element to satisfy worshippers of those inimitable early days: diluted rawness and sinister vibes echoing throughout its entire length, in a spiral hypnotic descent into abyssic primitivism, spawning solemn and archaic rituals exhumed from forbidden regions, a macabre incursion into the saturated hiss of pure negativity.

oath007 – THOMAS STETSON "DEFECTS" ZINEThe visuals created by the mind and pen of Thomas Stetson are some of the most refreshing and distinctive to be unleashed throughout the underground in recent years. Obsessively detailed and drenched in sickened textures, they range from the microscopic focus to the multidimensional hallucination, floating permanently in an undefined and supernatural in-between.
"Defects" is comprised of hopeless immersions into the nightmarish regions of the artist´s intimate universe, through a psychotic unfolding of all its inhabitants, being as bleak as dazzling, a kaleidoscopic catalogue of the diseased, the afflicted, the deformed, all those who infinitely suffer and perish.
Disorienting and nebulous, saturated yet astoundingly precise, this is masterful bestial summoning.
