Thomas Walsh - Epicataphora (FDR38)
West Coast Power Ambience. FFO: Ben Frost, Tim Hecker, Newer Prurient

"The recordings in this release were the first I had done entirely in Portland since leaving my home city where I'd lived my entire life. The material captured was highly influenced by this new setting and the uneasy feelings of displacement wrought by any new venture away from familiarity. Themes of alienation, urgency, and dread coalesce into a series of recordings that are centered around anxiety both as an experience and as a surrounding. Documenting the psychic toll of a coming age in the midst of the economic precarity, social and ecological collapse, and post-industrial urban decay brought about by the crisis of capitalism."

Cloning - Walking In Silt (FDR29)

Fragmented, broken rhythms and grime. Club music for a slow moving, surreal Lynchian world from White Suns member Dana Ma. This is Cloning's second release with Flag Day and I'm proud to have him back.
